  • FA Wide Receiver #1
    Seahawks waived WR Dee Eskridge.
Eskridge was a second-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2021. Known more for his return skills than his pass-catching prowess, Eskridge has caught 17 passes for 122 yards and one touchdown in 24 games. Eskridge has been overshadowed by nearly every receiver the Seahawks have brought in since he first joined the team and will now be looking for a new home in the coming days. If he clears waivers, Eskridge will be free to sign with wherever he pleases. Also waived/released by Seattle were LB Sundiata Anderson, LB Michael Barrett, DT Kyon Barrs, CB Lance Boykin, LB Nelson Ceaser, T/G McClendon Curtis, TE Michael Ezeike, TE Devon Garrison, LB Easton Gibbs, OT Garret Greenfield, WR Hayden Hatten, RB George Holani, CB D.J. James, CB Carlton Johnson, DT Mario Kendricks, DT DeVere Levelston, RB Kobe Lewis, TE Tyler Mabry, G Ilm Manning, LB Patrick O’Connell, S Ty Okada, OT Raiqwon O’Neal, OT Max Pircher, LB Jon Rhattigan, RB Kairee Robinson, WR Ty Scott, LB Jamie Sheriff, WR Cody White, and WR Easop Winston Jr.
  • SEA Running Back #9
Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (shoulder) did not participate in Wednesday’s walkthrough.
Walker popped up on the injury report with a new shoulder injury and did not participate in the Seahawks’ Wednesday walkthrough. The Seahawks tend to be lengthy with their injury reports and coming off a Monday game, it is possible Walker’s shoulder is a minor issue. However, practices later in the week will provide clarity on Walker’s availability for Week 16 against the Titans. WR Dee Eskridge (ribs) was the other Seahawks offensive player to be listed as DNP.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #1
Seahawks declared WR Dee Eskridge, RB Kenny McIntosh, OT McClendon Curtis, OG Anthony Bradford, OT Raiqwon O’Neal, and DE Myles Adams inactive for Week 10 against the Commanders.
Nothing to see here, as the Seahawks and their top three receivers are all good to go for the week. They face a Commanders offense that’s allowing the fifth-most passing yards per game (252.7) and is prone to giving up big plays through the air.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #14
Seahawks WR DK Metcalf (hip/ribs) was listed as a full practice participant Wednesday.
Initially thought to practice in a limited capacity, Metcalf was listed as a full participant to begin the week. This bodes well for his availability in Week 8 against the Browns after missing Week 7. With Tyler Lockett (hamstring) not participating, Metcalf could move back into the pass-catching rotation with a large target share next to rookies Jake Bobo and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Fellow pass-catchers Noah Fant (toe) and D’Wayne Eskridge (knee) got in limited practices as the Seahawks seek to get their offense healthy.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #1
Seahawks WR D’Wayne Eskridge was suspended six games for violations of the personal conduct policy.
It’s unclear why Eskridge was suspended. Entering his third season, the former second-round pick had 17 catches to his name. He was not going to factor into Seattle’s gameplan on offense after they took Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the first round.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #82
Seahawks designated D’Wayne Eskridge (hand) to return from injured reserve.
Pete Carroll said it would be a lot to ask for him to return from the injury against San Francisco this week, but it’s possible Eskridge could be available if the Seahawks advance. With Marquise Goodwin also sent to injured reserve recently, Seattle used Cade Johnson and Dareke Young as extra wideouts against the Rams in Week 18. They seem the likely third wideouts against the 49ers at this point.

  • MIA Wide Receiver #82
Seahawks placed WR D’Wayne Eskridge on injured reserve.
This was always thought to be a certainty after head coach Pete Carroll revealed Eskridge was dealing with a broken hand. The team elevated WR Laquon Treadwell in an associated move Saturday. It shouldn’t change much at the top of the Seattle depth chart, with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett playing almost every offensive snap and Marquise Goodwin serving as the team’s WR3.

  • MIA Wide Receiver #82
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said that D’Wayne Eskridge (hand) has a broken hand and will be heading to injured reserve.
If Eskridge misses the next four weeks -- mandatory with IRing -- there won’t be much season left for him to come back into. Eskridge has just 122 receiving yards in 20 games, with zero starts to his name so far. The 2021 second-round pick has not delivered much value for the Seahawks yet.

  • MIA Wide Receiver #82
D’Wayne Eskridge (hand) will not play in Week 12 against the Raiders.
Eskridge suffered the hand injury in Week 10. He had the bye week to recover, but the extra time off wasn’t enough. Marquise Goodwin is locked in as the Seahawks’ third receiver for Week 12.

  • MIA Wide Receiver #82
D’Wayne Eskridge (hand) left Week 10’s game against Tampa Bay and did not return.
Pete Carroll told reporters after the game that Eskridge “got whacked” and that his hand swelled up but that it is not broken. Eskridge was only questionable to return. He’s not a major part of Seattle’s offense at this time either way, but it looks like he has avoided a major injury.
