David Sills caught an 11-yard pass in the Falcons’ Week 18 win over the Saints.
Sills’ grab was his only target. Although he somewhat improbably emerged as a red-zone option for Kirk Cousins this season, Sills caught just 18 total passes. That was a new career high, but this is a journeyman special teamer who turns 30 in May. This might be the last time you see his name in fantasy football.

Darnell Mooney caught 2-of-3 targets for 35 yards in the Falcons’ Week 17 win over the Rams.
Mooney and the rest of the Atlanta pass-catchers simply weren’t needed in this one as running back Bijan Robinson amassed 229 yards of offense against one of the better run defenses in the league. It was actually fill-in receiver David Sills that led the team in receiving with 37 yards on three receptions, which tells the tale of how the game was won. Mooney finishes his regular season against the surging Saints in Week 18 after a disappointing campaign.
  • ATL Wide Receiver #5
Falcons WR Drake London (knee) practiced Wednesday.
It’s a positive sign for London’s Week 16 availability against the Cardinals, though head coach Raheem Morris cautioned against assuming London will play Sunday. “Looking forward to seeing how much he’ll be able to give us this week,” Morris told reporters Wednesday. London has been sidelined with a knee injury since the middle of November. The Falcons, eliminated from postseason contention, don’t have much reason to rush back (or play) their star receiver in the season’s final weeks. If London suits up in Week 16, he will be an elite option against an Arizona secondary that has been shredded of late. London’s return would put something of a damper on Kyle Pitts’ emergence and would make David Sills V unplayable in most formats.

David Sills caught 6-of-10 targets for 78 yards in the Falcons’ Week 15 win over the Buccaneers.
It’s a solid line, but Sills had one of the worst drops of the year on what would have been a long score for the wideout on a deep ball from Kirk Cousins. He did help make up for it with several big plays in the fourth quarter, including a 21-yarder from Cousins on the fourth down on the game-winning drive. Sills is going to see targets as long as Drake London is out, but it’s hard to give him much more than a desperation FLEX designation against the Cards in Week 15.
  • ATL Wide Receiver #87
David Sills caught 2-of-4 targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ Week 13 loss to the Jets.
Previously without a score in his three-year career, Sills has now found the end zone in back-to-back weeks. He has done so on four catches on seven total targets. As in, “fluke” comes to mind. Sills isn’t worth a 14-team league flier behind Darnell Mooney and Kyle Pitts as the Falcons wait on Drake London (knee) to return.
  • ATL Wide Receiver #87
David Sills caught 2-of-3 targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ Week 12 win over the Saints.
With Drake London out, Sills saw 39 snaps against the Saints, most among all Falcons wideouts. He bounced around between the Broncos and Giants to begin his career and now gets his first career touchdown for the Falcons in Week 12. Sills is unlikely to have consistent fantasy value and should only be considered on waivers in the deepest of fantasy leagues.

    Giants released WR David Sills.
Sills continues to try and catch on to a 53-man roster but will be left off the Giants’ final lineup. Sills had a solid preseason for the G-Men, totaling eight receptions for 117 yards and one touchdown, which included a solid 6-81-1 line in the final game. In addition to Sills, the Giants also released/waived QB Tommy DeVito, RB Jashaun Corbin, WR Kalil Pimpleton, TE Ryan Jones, OT Tyre Phillips, DT Ryder Anderson, DT Kobe Smith, DE Habakkuk Baldonado, LB Darrian Beavers, LB Tomon Fox, LB Ray Wilborn, LB Dyontae Johnson, CB Gemon Greeen, S Alex Cook, LS Cameron Lyons, LB Oshane Ximines, WR Jamison Crowder, WR Cole Beasley, CB Amani Oruwariye, and C Sean Harlow.

Giants signed WR David Sills to a reserve/future contract.
Sills played heavily for the Giants in the first seven weeks of the season, getting over 43% of the snaps in each of their first five games before being moved out of the rotation. He finished with a 11/106/0 line in 270 offensive snaps. Also signing reserve/future deals with the Giants are: DB Terrell Burgess, DT Vernon Butler, RB Jashaun Corbin, OT Korey Cunningham, DB Zyon Gilbert, OT Devery Hamilton, OL Solomon Kindley, WR Jaydon Mickens, WR Dre Miller, TE Chris Myarick, WR Kalil Pimpleton, WR Makai Polk, and DB Trenton Thompson.

David Sills caught both of his targets for 12 yards in the Giants’ Week 5 win over the Packers.
Even with receiver injuries piling up in New York, Sills has just three catches in the past two weeks. Sills was on the periphery of the fantasy radar heading into Week 5. He doesn’t have a pulse for Week 6.

  • ATL Wide Receiver #87
David Sills caught 1-of-2 targets for five yards in the Giants’ Week 4 win over the Bears.
Like all Giants’ pass catchers, there was no chance (or need) for Sills in a game where Saquon Barkley dominated. Sills continues to have a rotational role, but a real passing game will keep him from ever being fantasy relevant.
