Broncos signed LS David Binn, formerly of the Chargers.
Binn is in his 18th season, spending the first 17 in San Diego. Usual deep snapper Lonie Paxton has missed practice all week for “personal” reasons.

Chargers signed LS David Binn to a four-year extension through 2011.
Binn, entering his 15th NFL season, will be 40 if he makes it to the end of the deal. “David has been a true professional and a master of his craft for many years,” GM A.J. Smith said. Binn was previously signed through 2008.

Chargers placed LS David Binn (hamstring) on injured reserve, ending his season.
The quick decision to I.R. Binn indicates that he tore the hamstring in San Diego’s Week 1 loss. To this point, he’d missed just one “start” in his 17-year career, spanning 256 games. He’s signed through 2011 and should be fine by next season. San Diego will have to sign a snapper off the street.

    Chargers released LS David Binn.
Entering his 18th NFL season, Binn had been dealing with a calf injury after missing all of last season with a torn hamstring. It looks like the end of the line for Binn, leaving Quentin Jammer as the only current Charger to have played with future Hall of Famer Junior Seau.
