Ravens reserve Daniel Wilcox caught two TDs in Baltimore’s preseason opener.
He’s still a long shot to make the team.
  • BAL Tight End
Tight end Daniel Wilcox will likely make the Ravens as their No. 3 tight end.
An injury to Trent Smith and a great preseason helped Wilcox beat the odds.
  • BAL Tight End
Daniel Wilcox caught eight passes for 78 yards and a touchdown in week one.
He had a much better than fellow starter Todd Heap. Don’t expect that to happen too often.

    Daniel Wilcox Sunday November 13.
  • BAL Tight End
TE Daniel Wilcox suffered a sprained ankle Monday night.
The Baltimore Sun describes the injury as “a bad ankle sprain” and reports that Wilcox left the locker room on crutches after the game. He had ankle problems throughout training camp.
  • BAL Tight End
Ravens TE Daniel Wilcox, who has been slowed by a sprained ankle in camp, expects to play on Monday night.
Wilcox had been seen in a walking boot late last week. He is not a fantasy option as Todd Heap’s backup, but his presence as a receiving threat in two TE sets should help Heap see more open space.
  • BAL Tight End #86
Todd Heap (hamstring) will be a game-time decision Sunday.
The Pro Bowl tight end was unable to make it through a practice all week, so don’t count on Heap being active against San Francisco. His backup, Daniel Wilcox (foot), is also a game-day call. Quinn Sypniewski is third string.
  • BAL Tight End
There’s a chance Ravens TE Daniel Wilcox (ankle, toe) won’t play again this season.
Wilcox’s absence has been overlooked, but it’s a big reason why Baltimore has struggled on offense. They lose a lot of versatility when he and Todd Heap, both complete tight ends, aren’t on the field.
