  • ARI Running Back
Fullback Dan Kreider is questionable for week ten with a hip flexor.
Kreider has been an unsung part of the Steelers running game thus far. His loss would be signficant.
  • ARI Running Back
Pittsburgh fullback Dan Kreider will likely test the free agent market.
He’ll be one of the top fullbacks available. St. Louis is a logical fit.
  • ARI Running Back
Fullback Dan Kreider (hip flexor) left Sunday’s game in the third quarter and did not return.
Pittsburgh coach Bill Cowher called Kreider his most consistent offensive player earlier this month.
  • ARI Running Back
Fullback Dan Kreider had four catches for 22 yards and a score today.
He has no fantasy value, despite the touchdown.
  • ARI Running Back
Fullback Dan Kreider left today’s game with a shoulder injury.
He’s out for the remainder of the game. The Pittsburgh backfield continues to get hit hard by injuries.

  • WAS Running Back
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Carey Davis will likely make the team.
The paper also thinks that Gary Russell is a lock, leaving Dan Kreider, Verron Haynes, Kevan Barlow and John Kuhn to compete for one or possibly two spots. Davis and Russell are worth monitoring in dynasty leagues.
  • WAS Running Back
Carey Davis has supplanted Dan Kreider as Pittsburgh’s starting fullback.
Davis is more of a pass catcher and runner, so Kreider may be used when Pittsburgh needs an old fashioned lead blocker if he’s active on game days.
  • ATL Running Back
Verron Haynes is reportedly battling FB Dan Krieder for the fifth and final spot on Pittsburgh’s roster at running back.
The Steelers are expected to keep four tailbacks if Haynes doesn’t make it: Willie Parker, Najeh Davenport, Carey Davis, and Gary Russell. Kreider would seem to have a much better shot at sticking because he lead blocks.
  • ATL Running Back
    Steelers released RB Verron Haynes.
He may get a call during the season if the Steelers need help, but they are going at running back. Gary Russell, Carey Davis, and fullback Dan Kreider all made the roster.
