Jaguars re-signed LB Dakota Allen to a one-year contract.
Allen returns at a $850K salary as an exclusive rights free agent. The 25-year-old played 254 snaps on special teams and made two spot starts in 13 appearances last year. Allen, who was cut by the Rams as a 2019 seventh-rounder, will be a restricted free agent next offseason.

    Raiders waived LB Dakota Allen.
The team filled Allen’s roster spot with C Erik Magnuson in lieu of Rodney Hudson’s (leg) recent injury. Signed off waivers from the Rams back in August, Allen didn’t see the field during his stint in Oakland.

    Rams waived LB Dakota Allen.
Allen didn’t come off the field in Thursday’s preseason finale, a sign that he was on the roster bubble. The seventh-round rookie could be a candidate for the Rams’ practice squad, provided he clears waivers.

Rams signed seventh-rounders LB Dakota Allen and S Nick Scott to four-year contracts.
Allen (6'1"/232) racked up 249 tackles, 17.5 sacks and four interceptions over 34 games for the Red Raiders. He was booted from the team in 2016 following a felony arrest for burglary and later enrolled at East Mississippi Community College, where he was featured on the Netflix series “Last Chance U.” Allen returned to Lubbock the following year, serving as the team’s defensive captain while garnering a second-team All-Big-12 nod. He bettered that by earning first-team status in 2018. The 23-year-old surely would have come off the board sooner if not for his history of off-field issues.
