Bengals selected Ole Miss S Daijahn Anthony with the No. 224 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Anthony (6’0/195) spent six seasons in college but didn’t join the FBS ranks until 2021. He’s a hard-hitting safety who also has his share of missed tackles on his profile per PFF, but Anthony is also a versatile safety who can play all over the formation. He played a career-high 380 snaps from the slot last season and was also utilized heavily in the box. Prior to last season, he had played primarily on the outside as a corner, making him relatively new to the safety position, but he’s displayed a physical style of play and nose for the ball regardless of where he’s lined up. Anthony led Ole Miss in interceptions (3) and passes defended (11) last season, and will make for an intriguing addition to the pro ranks.
