49ers rule out LB Curtis Robinson (knee) for the year with a torn ACL.
Robinson plays primarily on special teams. His 2024 season ends with just one total special teams tackle.

Broncos signed Stanford LB Curtis Robinson.
Robinson (6’3/236) attended the well-renowned Mater Dei High School and was considered the fourth-best outside linebacker and 60th overall player in the country from the 2016 prep cycle. The four-star prospect moved from OLB to off-ball linebacker at Stanford where he served as a nondescript backup for his first three years on campus. He finally became a starter in 2019 when he recorded 64 tackles, 3.0 TFL, 2.0 sacks and three PBU while earning honorable mention All-Pac-12 recognition. Robinson was named a team captain and led the team in tackles in 2020 with a 7.3 tackle per game average. His athleticism is next-level ready, as his 9.23 RAS score will attest. His sideline-to-sideline prowess is perhaps his best skill, but he doesn’t show the chops to shed blockers at the point of attack as well as you’d like to see from such a physically gifted player. Robinson’s ability to diagnose plays lags, as he frequently seems to be behind the play. Gerris Wilkinson appears to be a reasonable comp for his skill set.

The Athletic’s Stewart Mandel reports that Stanford redshirt junior LB Curtis Robinson is moving inside.
Robinson (6'3/232) was a productive player as a sophomore with 23 tackles, but he played in only two games last year because of injuries. He’ll make the move inside due to need, as the Cardinal lost Bobby Okereke and Sean Barton at the position. Assuming good health, he should be one of the most productive linebackers in the Pac-12 in the Stanford defensive system.

Stanford four-star LB Curtis Robinson said, “I knew that Stanford provided the best opportunity for me to succeed [on and off the field].”
“It’s good to have it signed, sealed and delivered,” Robinson said on National Signing Day. While he received offers from 22 schools, the Cardinal were far-and-away his front-runner. The 6-foot-3, 208-pounder earned All-Orange County honors for his 2015 season at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana. ESPN 300 ranks him as their No. 248 prospect for the 2016 cycle.
