Former Ravens and Broncos QB Cullen Finnerty was found dead in Michigan Tuesday.
Finnerty, 30, was last heard from Sunday evening while fishing. His body was found in a campground, a half mile away from his boat. The Grand Valley State star was active for three games with the Ravens in 2007, but never got on the field. He fell out of the league after the Broncos released him in 2008.
  • DEN Quarterback
The Ravens did not tender QB Cullen Finnerty and DT Amon Gordon, making them unrestricted free agents.
Both were late additions to the roster in 2007. Finnerty, a Grand Valley State product, is not related to the similarly named Duke lacrosse player.
  • DEN Quarterback
    Broncos signed QB Cullen Finnerty.
Finnerty signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent last season, and stuck on the practice squad before being signed to the active roster for the final two games of the season. Baltimore didn’t tender him. As it stands, he’ll compete with Darrell Hackney for the team’s No. 3 quarterback job.
  • DEN Quarterback
Broncos released QB Cullen Finnerty, P Danny Baugher, WR Taylor Jacobs, LB Brandon Archer and DE Julian Jenkins.
Finnerty was competing with Darrell Hackney for the team’s No. 3 quarterback job and Jacobs has disappointed since being a second-round pick with Washington in 2003. Jacobs was the only one who was on the Broncos last year.
