Bills LB Coy Wire suffered a grade 2 MCL sprain in Sunday’s loss.
Wire was on crutches after the game and coach Dick Jauron declared him “out indefinitely” on Monday. With usual starting weak-side ‘backer Keith Ellison out with a high ankle sprain, Mario Haggan is next in line for snaps.
  • FA Quarterback
J.P. Losman (knee) returned to practice Wednesday.
Losman reportedly “looked very limber” moving around on his previously sprained MCL. CB Ashton Youboty (ankle), LB Coy Wire (knee), and DE Ryan Denney (leg) were also back on the field. The Bills are on a bye this week.

Bills LB Coy Wire reportedly suffered a torn, not sprained, MCL in Week 1.
John DiGiorgio has emerged as the leader to start on the weak side while Wire and Keith Ellison (high ankle sprain) recover. Wire is out indefinitely.
  • BUF Linebacker
Bills LB Keith Ellison sprained his ankle on Thursday night.
X-rays revealed no break, but it’s unknown how much time he’ll miss. Coy Wire would replace him, if need be.
