Cole Kmet caught 2-of-2 targets for three yards in the Bears’ Week 18 win over the Packers.
Hot to begin the season, Kmet finished the year on the coldest of streaks as the Bears tried to hide Caleb Williams and limit the number of sacks he took as they await their next head coach. Kmet totaled 26 yards in five games after Thanksgiving. Kmet is capable of more, but he’s been party to one awful setup after another in the Windy City. Someone like Lions OC Ben Johnson could change that for 2025, but this is not an organization we would count on to make the “right hire.” For now, Kmet is a dynasty league TE2. For re-draft, he’s struggling to crack the top 20.

Cole Kmet caught both of his targets for nine yards and a touchdown in the Bears’ Week 16 loss to the Lions.
No fantasy manager with their salt was still starting Kmet, so his one-yard score fell on deaf ears. Kmet’s 6/49/1 stat line over his past four games would be a normal day for the league’s better tight ends. The fact that he needs a month to amass those stats tells you all you need to know about his fantasy outlook heading into Week 17.

Cole Kmet caught his only target for 14 yards in Chicago’s Week 15 loss to the Vikings.
Kmet’s 63:1 snap-to-target ratio is elite, in some sense of the word. He’s not a recommended fantasy play at this point in the season. Kmet has gone over five targets in a game once since Week 3, as compared to four separate games with one or zero targets.

Cole Kmet caught 0-of-0 targets in the Bears’ Week 14 loss to the 49ers.
This is the second time Kmet has finished with zero targets in a game this season. The 49ers’ defense deserves credit for their dominant showing but Kmet deserves blame for his own failings in this one. Kmet faces the Vikings in Week 15, the team he shockingly totaled 10 targets against in Week 12. Fantasy managers should treat him as an exceptionally volatile TE1/2 for the occasion.

Cole Kmet caught 3-of-3 targets for 26 yards in the Bears’ Week 13 loss to the Lions.
The 10 targets Kmet saw in Week 12 were clearly a one-off. In Thursday’s loss to the Lions, Kmet saw the volume fantasy managers have unfortunately grown accustomed to seeing. It was the sixth time this season that Kmet has seen three or fewer targets in a game, and the sixth time he’s been held below 30 receiving yards. With six teams on bye in Week 14, Kmet will be in play as a boom-or-bust TE2 against the 49ers.
  • CHI Tight End #85
Cole Kmet caught 7-of-10 targets for 64 yards in the Bears’ Week 12 loss to the Vikings.
Kmet finished the day second on the team in targets and catches after seeing just three looks in Week 11. Despite the counting stats, it was a shaky day for Kmet, who committed an ugly drop on a potential third-down conversion in the third quarter. Kmet also limped off the field after blocking on a short Roschon Johnson touchdown in the first quarter. He returned following a brief stay in the medical tent and didn’t appear bothered by the issue for the remainder of the game. Passing volume will be on his side for a Week 13 matchup with the Lions, keeping Kmet on the TE1 periphery next week.

Cole Kmet caught 3-of-3 targets for 42 yards in Chicago’s Week 11 loss to the Packers.
Kmet was the recipient of Caleb Williams’ best ball of the day, catching a 25-yard hole shot in zone on the sideline. Kmet has eight targets for 69 yards since Week 6’s two-touchdown scorcher against the Jaguars. This at least is a more reasonable line for someone ostensibly on the TE1 fringe.
  • CHI Tight End #85
Cole Kmet caught 2-of-4 targets for 13 yards in the Bears’ Week 10 loss to the Patriots.
Kmet has been an afterthought in a struggling Bears offense in recent weeks, and Week 10 saw him get four targets. He caught two of them in the short-yardage area, totaling 13 yards. Kmet is still the prevailing Bears tight end, but is the No. 4 pass-catching option in an offense that cannot find the endzone. Kmet is best left on fantasy benches for Week 11.
  • CHI Tight End #85
Cole Kmet caught 0-of-0 targets in the Bears’ Week 9 loss to the Cardinals.
Kmet’s 45 receiving snaps led all other Bears tight ends by 35, and ranked fourth on the team overall. He somehow finished as the only Bears “pass catcher” who failed to earn a single target. Kmet can be dropped in re-draft leagues.

Cole Kmet caught his lone target for a 14-yard gain in the Bears’ Week 8 loss to the Commanders.
Caleb Williams targeted his tight ends just three times all afternoon, with Gerald Everett seeing two of those targets. Kmet, who was coming off a 5-70-2 performance against the Jaguars in Week 6, entered the day averaging 4.8 targets per game. That said, he was a forgotten man against the Commanders and will hope to bounce back in Week 9 against the Cardinals, where he’ll be a fringe TE1/TE2.
