Seahawks announced that right tackle Chris Terry will have shoulder surgery and is out for the season.
He was placed on injured reserve, making it official.
  • Seahawks released tackle Chris Terry.
He started eight games in 2004.
  • Chiefs RT Chris Terry says an issue involving a warrant for his arrest for failing to show in court stemming from an April incident at a nightclub in which he allegedly slapped a girl has been resolved and won’t cost him time.
If he’s correct, Chiefs fans around the U.S. can breathe a collective sigh of relief. Terry has a history of similar problems and may have been subject to a season-long suspension atleast had he been charged. The Chiefs should have a solid bookend duo of tackles of Terry and LT Damion McIntosh.
  • Chiefs T Chris Terry (personal reasons) is away from the team and if he is unable to return to practice, Kyle Turley would start.
Terry is home with his family after his mother recently passed away. The Chiefs will face a formidable Chargers run defense this week.
  • Chiefs released RT Chris Terry.
Terry was due to become a free agent after the season, but had started eight games for the Chiefs this season. The circumstances of his release are unknown, but Terry has gotten into all kinds of off-field trouble and skipped practice on Friday before being cut. Will Svitek replaced him in the starting lineup on Sunday.
  • Former Chiefs OT Chris Terry was reportedly arrested late Tuesday on Class A felony charges of dealing cocaine.
He was also hit with a Class C charge of cocaine possession, possession of an unlicensed handgun, resisting police, and driving with a suspended license. This officially wraps up Terry’s career. The 34-year-old was cut by Kansas City three Decembers ago after missing time for personal reasons.
  • Chiefs signed T Chris Terry.
Terry has a history of off-field problems, including a league suspension. This is a sign that Kansas City isn’t confident that John Welbourne’s return to the team will solve their tackle position woes.
  • A warrant has been issued in Atlanta for Chiefs OL Chris Terry, who reportedly failed to show for a court date last Friday.
Terry is accused of slapping his girlfriend in the face with a fistful of cash at a nightclub and dumping beer on her head. The Chiefs’ projected starter at right tackle, Terry was suspended for the entire 2005 season for off-field issues. Look for Kansas City to alter its draft plans, as we may have our first lifetime ban under new commissioner Roger Goodell.
