Colts elevated K Spencer Shrader and CB Chris Lammons from the practice squad.
The Colts’ starting kicker Matt Gay has missed practice all week due to a hernia. That puts Shrader in line for his first career start in the Colts’ Week 1 matchup with the Texans. While that matchup carries one of the higher totals of the week and Shrader will be kicking indoors, using a kicker with more experience is the practical move for fantasy managers setting lineups in Week 1.
  • NO Running Back #41
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Alvin Kamara will be suspended for three games for his role in a fight outside a Las Vegas nightclub in 2022.
Kamara was initially facing felony charges stemming from the fight that occurred over the weekend of the Pro Bowl. He eventually pled no contest to a misdemeanor and the felony charges were dropped. That suspension comes in on the lighter side of what many were speculating he would receive. During his absence, Jamaal Williams and rookie Kendre Miller will likely split the New Orleans backfield. Colts corner Chris Lammons was also involved in the incident and was suspended for three games as well.
  • Cornerback #35
    Chiefs re-signed DB Chris Lammons.
Lammons made headlines during the Pro Bowl when he, Alvin Kamara, and two other friends were arrested on felony battery charges. The Chiefs opted not to tender Lammons as a restricted free agent earlier this offseason, but he’s now set to return with the team ahead of training camp. Throughout his career, Lammons has appeared in 26 games while totaling 19 tackles. Last season, 221 of his 234 snaps came while on special teams.

  • Cornerback #35
Chiefs CB Chris Lammons has been arrested on felony battery charges.
Lammons is the other player caught up in the Alvin Kamara case in Las Vegas. Kamara, Lammons and two friends are accused of felony battery resulting in serious bodily harm, as well as “a gross misdemeanor count of conspiracy to commit battery.” Largely a special teamer, Lammons has spent the past three years with the Chiefs.
