Chris Brown ran for 67 yards on 11 carries in Friday night’s preseason win.
LenDale White would have started this game had he been healthy and active, but he’s battling a swollen ankle. Rookie Chris Henry played first on Friday night and carried eight times for just 15 yards.
  • HOU Running Back
Chris Brown (ankle, questionable) returned to a complete practice Friday.
“It’s going to come down to how I work out before the game,” Brown said. “I feel like I should be able to go on Sunday.” Coach Jeff Fisher also said Brown has a shot to face Oakland. If he does, Chris Henry might be inactive.
  • SEA Running Back
Titans RB Chris Henry hasn’t been “overly impressive” in OTA work this month.
He’s had a chance to make an impact with LenDale White hurt, but we’ve heard very little from the media about him. It’s the time of year to fawn over most players, so this is a slight concern. The Titans may think about nabbing a veteran.
  • HOU Running Back
Titans re-signed RB Chris Brown to a one-year contract.
He’ll immediately be in the mix for carries and could be as high as first on the depth chart when Tennessee opens its final minicamp on Tuesday, as Brown knows Norm Chow’s offense. LenDale White and Chris Henry haven’t created any separation in the backfield pecking order. It’s a wide-open battle.
  • HOU Running Back
Chris Brown (ankle) missed practice Wednesday, according to the NFL’s official injury report.
He may be listed as questionable again this week. While Titans head coach Jeff Fisher says Brown will return to his carry splitting situation with LenDale White when healthy, there’s no guarantee that will be anytime soon.
  • SEA Running Back
Titans RB Chris Henry had 12 carries for 42 yards on Saturday night.
Henry didn’t play until the third stringers were in, but he was by far the most impressive looking back. He was bouncing off defenders and breaking tackles. Chris Brown started the contest and ran 9 times for 19 yards, and LenDale White followed him with 6 rushes for 12 yards.
  • HOU Running Back
Chris Brown (ankle) could return to practice this week.
Rookie Chris Henry was productive with his touches while Brown sat out in Week 7, so the veteran is no lock to return to the game-day active roster.
  • SEA Running Back
Coach Jeff Fisher said Monday that Chris Henry “did what we thought he would do” in gaining 57 yards on 11 carries in Week 7.
However, Fisher indicated that Henry has not passed Chris Brown on the depth chart. If Brown is healthy, Fisher said he’ll resume backing up LenDale White.
  • SEA Running Back
Chris Henry rushed 11 times for 57 yards and one touchdown and caught two passes for 12 yards in Week 7 against the Texans.
On the active roster thanks to Chris Brown’s ankle injury, Henry saw increased snaps as the game progressed and showed a lot of potential. He nearly broke a long touchdown before being tripped up from behind in the third quarter and rushed nine times for 51 yards after halftime, giving way to LenDale White at the goal line after doing most of the hard work on a second-half drive.
  • SEA Running Back
Titans declared RB Chris Henry, P Josh Miller, WR Paul Williams, CB Kelly Herndon, FB Casey Cramer, OL Leroy Harris, DE Sean Conover and DT Randy Starks inactive for Week 5 against the Dolphins.
Miller being inactive means that punter Craig Hentrich is healthy. Henry remains the No. 3 running back.
