Free agent RB Charles Scott visited the Colts on Friday.
The 2010 sixth-round pick is believed to be near 100 percent health after suffering multiple injuries in a serious May car accident. He was active for zero games as a rookie last year, and isn’t likely to get on the field this season.

Former Giants and Eagles RB Charles Scott pleaded not guilty Thursday to one charge of sexual battery of an 18-year-old woman.
Scott, Philly’s sixth-round pick in 2010, was arrested in November of 2011 on a count of simple rape. Scott, who played college football at LSU, flamed out quickly in the pros before his arrest. He’s not going to be an NFL player.

Former Giants and Eagles RB Charles Scott was arrested Sunday morning on rape charges in Prairieville, LA.
Police were dispatched to Scott’s home at 4AM after a disturbance was reported. Officers quickly discovered that the disturbance occurred as “a result of an 18 year old alleging she was raped by Charles Edward Scott Jr.” He was booked on one count of simple rape. A sixth-round pick in the 2009 draft out of LSU, Scott had a tryout with the Colts in early October.

LSU RB Charles Scott recorded a 4.53 forty at the Tigers’ Pro Day.
Scott, who sat out the Senior Bowl after failing his physical due to a broken collarbone, improved greatly on his Combine times (4.75, 4.72). The LSU track was obviously fast, though. Scott remains a mid-round prospect.

LSU RB Charles Scott is not participating in this week’s Senior Bowl because of a failed physical.
A power back who averaged 5.34 YPC in his college career, Scott broke his collarbone in November and was supposed to be healthy by now. His status for February’s Combine is uncertain. His draft stock hangs in the balance.

Eagles selected LSU RB Charles Scott with the No. 200 overall pick in the NFL draft.
A power back in Baton Rouge, Scott’s draft stock plummeted when he failed his Senior Bowl physical due to collarbone fracture in November. Originally expected to be a mid-round pick, Scott landed with a team that can use his skills in short-yardage and red-zone situations. If healthy, he should make Eldra Buckley expendable this year and Mike Bell next year.

Giants RB Charles Scott will be “close to 100 percent” by training camp after sustaining multiple injuries in a serious car accident two months ago.
Scott has made an “outstanding” recovery, but he may still be limited at the outset of camp. He was already facing an uphill battle to make the final roster, so there will be pressure to get back on the field quickly.

Cardinals waived RB/FB Charles Scott, DE Jeremy Clark, DE John Fletcher, OG Jonathan Palmer, and WR Ed Gant.
Gant is suspended for the first four games, but the Cards didn’t deem him worth waiting on, opting for Max Komar. Scott flunked out of two camps, also the Eagles. He’s not come close to early expectations after a fine LSU career.

Giants signed RB Charles Scott, CB Woodny Turenne, C Jim Cordle, LB Kenny Ingram, WR Samuel Giguere, and DT Dwayne Hendricks to reserve/future contracts.
Scott, a sixth-round pick by Philadelphia, bounced around practice squads this year and was tried at fullback. He’ll be very low on the offseason tailback depth chart. All of these players finished 2010 on New York’s practice squad.

Beat writer Geoff Mosher predicts that rookie RB Charles Scott will not make the Eagles’ 53-man roster.
Scott allegedly “blew an opportunity” to climb as high as No. 2 on the depth chart by “drop(ping) too many passes” and failing to “make standout plays.” We thought the Eagles listing Scott as a reserve fullback was an ominous sign, and it appears to be so. He does have three preseason games left.
