Dolphins selected Georgia LB Channing Tindall with the No. 102 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Tindall (6’2/230) opened eyes in 2021. He posted 67 tackles, 7.5 TFLs, and 5.5 sacks for the national champs. Georgia used Tindall as a role player and asked him to play assignment football. We think he can be more at the next level. Tindall was only sent after the passer on 102 snaps last fall and converted that into 26 pressures, an incredible 25.5% pressure rate. He’s also a reliable tackler and has improved yearly in coverage. In 205 coverage snaps last year, he only ceded 72 yards. With a 4.47 forty and 42-inch vertical jump, there aren’t many tasks on a football field he can’t accomplish. Physically he’s reminiscent of Daryl Washington coming out of TCU.

Georgia LB Channing Tindall tested very well at the combine, earning a 9.83 Relative Athletic Score.
Tindall (6'2"/230) ran a 4.47 40-yard dash, had a ridiculous 42" vertical and a 10'9" broad jump on combine day. He didn’t test agility, but that’s some crazy explosion numbers. He’s not the biggest guy, but he’s proving he’s got the speed to go sideline to sideline. This entire Georgia defense was unbelievably fast, so maybe it shouldn’t shock anyone to see Tindall post these scores.

Georgia senior LB Channing Tindall has declared for the NFL Draft.
This was Tindall’s (6'2"/230) first year starting for the Bulldogs, and he delivered, earning a Second Team All-SEC selection. He had 67 total tackles (7.5 for loss) and 5.5 sacks on the Bulldogs championship squad. That was good for third in tackles and fourth in TFLs and sacks on the team. Tindall has great speed and solid agility and strength, and that raw athletic talent should make him a mid-round draftee despite the lack of career stats.

Uncommitted four-star 2018 LB Channing Tindall plans on making use of all five of his official visits.
Tindall (6'2/206) will be taking his official visits in November or December. He had actually planned on checking out the Gators when they take on Tennessee this weekend, but decided to hold off on it after Hurricane Irma made landfall, saying that “it didn’t seem like the right thing to do.” Rivals’ No. 135 overall prospect for the 2018 cycle is most keen on South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Auburn and Florida State. All five of those programs are likely to receive official visits from Tindall before Signing Day.

247Sports’ Kipp Adams passes along that uncommitted four-star 2018 LB Channing Tindall was the top linebacker performer at The Opening on Saturday.
“Tindall was dominant during the cat-and-mouse portion in the regional and again Saturday at the Finals,” Adams writes. “Mychale Salahuddin and Ricky Person Jr., two of the better backs in the competition, lost back-to-back reps to Tindall.” The analyst adds that the 6-foot-2, 206-pound Tindall is “one of the most agile prospects in this class regardless of position and this event allowed him to showcase what he does best - cover in space.” 247Sports ranks the Columbia, South Carolina, native as the No. 8 outside linebacking prospect for the 2018 cycle.

Georgia received a verbal commitment from four-star 2018 LB Channing Tindall.
Tindall (6'2/206) did not sign on Wednesday -- he won’t be doing so until February -- but his commitment was the perfect cap on a perfect day for HC Kirby Smart and crew, who absolutely dominated the open to the inaugural early winter signing period. Auburn and South Carolina were both jostling for the Columbia, South Carolina, native’s commitment prior to his taking the plunge with Georgia. Tindall ranks as the No. 91 overall prospect on the 247Sports’ composite board and brings stellar athleticism and instincts to the table. He’s already a respectable presence in pass coverage, too.
