Titans placed DB Elijah Molden (groin) on injured reserve.
Molden will be out for the first four weeks of the season and Tennessee’s interior corner depth will be tested. They may use Ugo Amadi, or they may bump Roger McCreary or Kristian Fulton inside on passing downs. Tennessee also placed Chance Campbell (knee) on injured reserve.

  • TEN Linebacker #45
Titans selected Ole Miss LB Chance Campbell with the No. 219 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Campbell (6'2"/232) is a bit of an odd one. His athletic testing was off the charts, ranking in the 90th+ percentile in both jumping drills, and his 4.57 40 was in the 86th percentile. Yet, he doesn’t really show that type of speed in his play for the most part, and he looks much stiffer than his agility drills would imply. Coverage is predictably not a strong suit, posting just a 60.6 coverage grade in 2021 per PFF and allowing a 75% catch rate. What Campbell does have, though, is intelligence and experience to read plays and a dogged tenacity to get there. Campbell has trouble shedding blocks due to his bottom of the barrel length, but he has good strength and uses it. While he may not be an ace in coverage, he can attack as a pass rusher in passing downs. Campbell has athleticism in him that he’s not properly utilizing, and if he can figure out how to unlock the theoretical speed he has, he could be a sixth-round steal.

  • TEN Linebacker #45
Ole Miss senior LB Chance Campbell could be a “solid Day 3 pick” this spring, per ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr.
The 6-foot-2, 235-pound Campbell has “been all over the field” and has “really helped the Ole Miss defense,” per Kiper. A transfer from Maryland, Campbell has been part of Ole Miss’ defensive transformation this fall, tallying 19 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery through three games.

  • TEN Linebacker #45
Former Maryland junior LB Chance Campbell transferred to Mississippi.
Campbell (6'3/235) was an honorable mention all-Big Ten selection this past fall, tallying 43 total tackles (22 solo, 5.5 for loss), 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery in four games. The junior linebacker will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at Mississippi, where he reunites with former Maryland HC (and current Rebels co-DC) D.J. Durkin. Campbell is expected to be eligible immediately this fall.

  • TEN Linebacker #45
Maryland junior LB Chance Campbell entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Losing Campbell (6'3/235) is a big deal for Maryland, as he was one of the Big Ten’s top linebackers this past fall. An honorable mention all-Big Ten selection, the junior linebacker accounted for 43 total tackles (22 solo, 5.5 for loss), 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery in four games. Campbell will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at his next stop should he go through with a transfer.
