Bills signed sixth-round CB Cary Harris to a four-year, $1.856 million contract.
The deal includes a $106,850 signing bonus. Harris was slowed at minicamp by an injured hamstring. He’ll fight for a roster spot at training camp.
  • NYG Defensive Back
Bills signed DB Cary Harris off their practice squad.
Harris was a sixth-round pick out of USC in April. He’s too slow to play corner for most teams, but Buffalo’s Tampa 2 scheme suits his skills as a sure tackler. He may also see some action at free safety on the practice field.
  • NYG Defensive Back
Bills re-signed exclusive rights free agent DB Cary Harris, TE Jonathan Stupar, LB Jon Corto, and WR Felton Huggins to one-year contracts.
All four are slated for minimum salaries, and will be on the roster bubble in training camp. Harris, a free safety/cornerback, was a sixth-round pick in 2009. Stupar had a standout preseason last year, but didn’t make the team.
  • NYG Defensive Back
Bills waived S Cary Harris and activated S/LB Jon Corto from the PUP list.
Corto’s wrist injury has healed. Harris was strictly a special teamer.
  • NYG Defensive Back
S Cary Harris has had his contract with the Bengals voided by the NFL for procedural reasons and is now a free agent.
Harris signed just over a week ago. The Bengals do not plan on re-signing him at this time, so the special teamer will look for work elsewhere.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #77
Bengals signed DE James Ruffin, CB Cary Harris, FB James Develin, OG Otis Hudson, and OT Andrew Gardner to reserve/future contracts.
They were all on the practice squad, and will be carried on the 80-man roster this offseason. Ruffin offers some potential as a situational pass rusher, although if he was anywhere NFL ready he surely could’ve helped a Bengals team that was among the NFL’s worst at sacking quarterbacks this year.
  • NYG Defensive Back
Bills coach Chan Gailey said S Cary Harris (hamstring) is “probably out” for Week 2.
“Cary Harris is probably out for this game, but he’ll probably just miss this game,” said Gailey. Harris’ value for the Bills comes on special teams.
  • NYG Defensive Back
Bills backup S Cary Harris is done for the day with a hamstring injury.
Harris is a special teamer and backup safety for Buffalo.
