Jaire Alexander (groin) is questionable for Week 5 against the Rams.
The Packers’ primary backup perimeter cornerback Carrington Valentine (ankle) is also questionable to play this week, potentially leaving the Packers’ secondary fairly thin. This game quietly possesses fantasy-friendly shootout potential.

Packers selected Kentucky CB Carrington Valentine with the No. 232 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
A versatile athlete who started on the 2019 state champion basketball team, Valentine (6’0/193) declared early after leading the Wildcats with 11 PBU to go with 48 tackles, 17 stops, and a 70.0 PFF coverage grade. Blessed with freakish 32.25” arm length, Valentine is a hyper-competitive boundary corner who is at his best when breaking on throws and pestering receivers early in the route. He ran a solid 4.44s 40-yard dash (85th%) to go with a pair of 91st percentile jumps and a very respectable 4.15 shuttle (78th%) for a combined 9.30 RAS. Though his movement ability is certainly NFL caliber, Valentine’s Achilles heel is his wiry body type that causes him to get bumped off routes at times and his ball skills need refinement. However, he has the athleticism and mentality to compete for a NFL roster spot.

Kentucky received a verbal commitment from three-star 2020 CB Carrington Valentine.
Valentine (6'0/178) announced his commitment to Kentucky on July 24, and the combination of size and athleticism should (in time) make him a good fit in the SEC. The Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, Ohio) rising senior is also a quality basketball player, an indication of his athletic ability. “Originally a wide receiver in high school, Valentine has good hands and the ability to make plays on the ball in the air. He might need a year or so to learn more about playing the position because he’s new at it, but Valentine has the total skill set and has the ability to be coached up,” 247Sports.com recruiting analyst Bill Greene wrote in his breakdown of the three-star cornerback.
