Vikings selected Cal CB Camryn Bynum with the No. 125 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Bynum (6'0/200) brings a ton of Power Five experience with him. A four-year contributor and three-year starter, Bynum racked up 28 passes defended and six interceptions during his time at Cal. Bynum was often at his best when jammed up on the line of scrimmage and allowed to bully wide receivers right off the snap. He plays with a tough, strong mentality and has adequate footwork to keep up early in routes. However, Bynum can get a little lost in his transitions and fail to make up ground, which is evidenced by a painfully average 6.98-second three-cone drill. Getting burned down the field can be somewhat of an issue for Bynum, too. There is a reason he functions best as a press cornerback. Look for Bynum to have a career similar to Ahkello Witherspoon.
