The teams also cut RB Jason Huntley, S Jaquiski Tartt, OL Cameron Tom, and DT Rennell Wren. Philly took a shot on Strong as a UDFA after he didn’t hear his name called in the 2022 NFL Draft. Strong is a capable pocket passer who could develop into a backup with enough time. He should find his way onto a practice squad soon.

Tom spent the entirety of his rookie year on the team’s practice squad but was called upon for 178 offensive snaps across 11 appearances in his most recent game action in 2018. The 24-year-old missed all of last season with an undisclosed injury. He’ll compete for a spot at the end of New Orleans’ roster out of camp.

Tom (6’4/291) made 48 starts on the Golden Eagles’ offensive line, primarily playing center and earning first-team All-Conference USA twice. Surprisingly not invited to February’s Combine, Tom helped himself with a 4.89 forty and 32-inch vertical at the Southern Miss Pro Day. Tom has long arms (33 5/8") and plus movement skills for an interior lineman.
