Toledo redshirt junior RB Bryant Koback will declare for the NFL.
Koback (6'0/210) had a phenomenal season in Toledo as ran for a MAC’s second-leading and his career-high 1400 yards and 334 receiving yards. His size helps him break tackles and gain significant yards on the ground, and his catching ability allows him to stay on the field in passing situations. If he can pull off an impressive combine, he may be a great value to grab in April.

  • SEA Running Back #40
Toledo redshirt junior RB Bryant Koback rushed 18 times for 126 yards and no touchdowns in Friday’s 31-24 loss to Middle Tennessee.
Koback (6'0/210) put together a solid rushing day for Toledo, but it didn’t lead to much, as Koback and the Toledo offense as a whole struggled to string together any consistent production. Koback rushed for a handful of big gains on the day, and finishes the season with six-straight 100+ yard rushing performances, led by a 203 yard, four touchdown effort against Ohio on November 16th. Koback ends his season with 209 carries for 1,415 yards and 16 touchdowns, and also has 30 receptions for 338 yards and another three scores.

  • SEA Running Back #40
Toledo redshirt junior RB Bryant Koback rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries in Saturday’s 49-14 victory over Akron.
Koback terrorized this feeble Akron defense from the jump, churning out 44 yards and a TD on the ground and adding an explosive 51-yard catch-and-run touchdown before halftime. By the final whistle, he’d posted his fifth-straight 100-yard rushing output. The 7-5 Rockets now await their bowl assignment. Whoever they get, you can bet Koback will be the fulcrum of the offensive gameplan.

Toledo redshirt junior RB Bryant Koback rushed 21 times for 203 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-23 win over Ohio on Tuesday night.
Koback (6'0/210) was a dominant force all night against the Bobcats. That dominance began in the second quarter with a pair of touchdown runs to help build a 14-6 lead. He really took over in the third quarter when he went off right tackle on an outside zone play, cut it back to the front side, and went 55-yards for a touchdown. He finished off the day with a nice 13-yard run off left tackle capitalizing on an Ohio muffed punt. Koback had his seventh straight game with over 80 yards and his fourth straight over 100, and he broke 1,000 on the season. The win makes Toledo bowl eligible and they look to score their seventh win next Saturday against Akron.

  • SEA Running Back #40
Toledo redshirt junior RB Bryant Koback rushed 17 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-17 victory over Bowling Green on Wednesday.
Koback (6'0/210) scored Toledo’s first two touchdowns, breaking a 50-yard TD run on the first drive of the game before taking a well designed draw play untouched up the middle for another 10-yard score. It was a vintage Koback performance who helped the Rockets gain a dominant early advantage before calling it a day early in the third quarter and giving way to Micah Kelly so he could have some fun beating up on the hapless Bowling Green defense. Koback is just 49 yards away from the 1,000 yard mark and will look to post his fourth straight 100-yard performance next Tuesday at Ohio.

  • SEA Running Back #40
Toledo redshirt junior RB Bryant Koback carried the ball 17 times for 100 yards in Toledo’s 34-15 win over WMU.
Koback (6'0"/210) paced the Toledo offense, constantly picking up chunk yardage and moving the chains. It wasn’t a flashy performance, but it was vitally important as the most consistent weapon on the team. Koback has been THE steady presence for the Rockets all year, and that won’t change through the bye next week.

  • SEA Running Back #40
Toledo redshirt junior RB Bryant Koback is on track to post over 100 yards as his team is on track to pummel UMass.
It’s another big day so far for Koback, who currently totals 87 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the ground against a UMass team that has consistently struggled throughout the season. Koback has been a large factor with multiple big games, including the loss to Notre Dame in which he carried the ball 21 times for 122 yards and touchdown.

  • SEA Running Back #40
Toledo redshirt junior RB Bryant Koback cashed 21 carries into 122 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 32-29 loss to Notre Dame.
He also had two catches for eight yards. Notre Dame’s defense, which lost LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koremoah to the NFL over the spring and three contributors to injuries over the last few weeks, got gouged for over 200 rushing yards by Florida State. Brian Kelly and crew clearly prioritized taking away Koback, and for large portions of the game Koback’s impact was minimized. But while 20 of Koback’s attempts went for 55 yards, the other one went for 67. Toledo should have its way with a bad Colorado State team next week.

  • SEA Running Back #40
Toledo redshirt junior RB Bryant Koback earned 24 carries for 123 yards while also catching five passes for 44 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 24-23 win over Central Michigan.
Koback (6'0/193) did not score the game-winning touchdown, but his efforts on the ground helped keep Toledo in this one for four quarters. Though Koback’s longest gain was just a 27-yarder, he was excellent in pounding out consistent yardage and keeping the offense ahead of the sticks. Granted, QB Carter Bradley regularly threw picks that squandered that, but the point remains. This was Koback’s second game of the year with at least 100 yards.

  • Micah Kelly
    TOL #3
Toledo redshirt freshman RB Micah Kelly rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in Saturday’s 41-24 win over Northern Illinois.
Kelly (5'9/195) was one of two Toledo running backs to reach the end zone Saturday, as Bryant Koback added 65 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. As a team the Rockets rushed for 178 yards, a solid effort when taking into consideration the fact that Ball State limited Toledo to 42 yards on the ground last week. Kelly, who rushed for minus-4 yards against Ball State, is up to 191 yards and two touchdowns on 38 carries on the season. Toledo concludes its regular season next weekend vs. Central Michigan.
