Michigan junior DT Bryan Mone will undergo an MRI for an undisclosed injury.
Mone suffered the mystery injury during Saturday’s blowout win over Hawaii. HC Jim Harbaugh declined to provide further information as to the nature of the ailment, saying only, “We’ll see where he stands [after the MRI].” The 6-foot-4, 325-pounder is no stranger to injury. He did not appear in a game last season due to a broken ankle suffered in August camp.

Michigan senior DT Bryan Mone indicated that he is 100% healthy with two weeks remaining in camp.
Injuries have been a near-constant problem for Mone, who missed the 2015 season with a broken ankle and missed three of UM’s first four games last year while rehabbing from a knee injury. The 6-foot-4, 325-pounder is an expected starter this season so long as he can stay healthy. Said Mone, “Last year was frustrating. I put everything into it, and I feel like God works in mysterious ways. Now, I’ve just got to do my job and work hard.”

Michigan sophomore Bryan Mone suffered a broken ankle in practice and could potentially miss the entire season.
The 6-foot-4, 325-pound DT played in 12 games last season, making only one start for the Wolverines. Mone recorded nine tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and recovered a fumble. With Mone possibly gone for the year, the Wolverines are losing a big part of their rotation up front. Michigan will have to rely on Ryan Glasgow and Maurice Hurst in Mone’s absence.

In his first news conference since August camps began, Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh said that sophomore DT Bryan Mone suffered his broken ankle on a “freak play.”
“I’ve never seen it before in a practice or games,” Harbaugh told reporters. Apparently, Mone suffered the broken leg while working to clear a path for one of his teammates after a blocked field goal. His leg snagged on the turf at an “inopportune angle,” as Harbaugh phrased it, and he’s expected to miss most of (if not all of) the 2015 season. The 6-foot-4, 325-pounder suited up on a limited basis in 12 games last season, totaling nine tackles (1.5 TFL) while recovering a fumble.
