Bryan Fletcher caught five passes for 25 yards in a Week 16 win.
The Colts had to use all their tight ends after Anthony Gonzalez went out with a bruised foot because Craphonso Thorpe and Marvin Harrison were inactive. Fletcher has caught 17 passes for 138 yards and no TDs this year.
  • FA Tight End
Colts TE Ben Utecht (shoulder) is not expected to play in Week 17.
He’ll likely be joined in street clothes against Tennessee by nickel back Tim Jennings (concussion), but both should be ready for the postseason. Third TE Bryan Fletcher could play a good amount of snaps against the Titans.
  • FA Wide Receiver #16
Colts coach Tony Dungy said Monday that WR Anthony Gonzalez (thumb), LT Tony Ugoh (neck), and TE Bryan Fletcher (calf) could play in Week 12.
Dungy says he plans to at least be able to field 45 healthy players at Atlanta Thursday night. Gonzalez was active in Week 11, but did not see action.
  • IND Tight End
Colts TE Bryan Fletcher caught eight passes for 55 yards and added a two-point conversion in Week 10.
With Dallas Clark inactive, Fletcher stepped up to play Robin to Reggie Wayne’s Batman. Fletcher entered the game with only four receptions and unless Clark continues to miss time, he has no fantasy value.
  • IND Tight End
    Colts released TE Bryan Fletcher.
Another unanticipated move, and one Peyton Manning probably won’t approve of. Fletcher was a consistent performer for the Colts, catching 18 passes in each of the past three years as a No. 3 tight end. GM Bill Polian apparently feels comfortable with Jacob Tamme and Tom Santi behind Dallas Clark.
  • FA Tight End
Friday’s midnight deadline passed with TE Ben Utecht’s agent hearing nary a word from the Colts, ensuring that Utecht will leave for the Bengals.
Utecht goes to Cincinnati for three years at $9 million with the key being that the Bengals do not sacrifice a draft pick. Utecht immediately becomes the best receiving tight end of the Marvin Lewis/Carson Palmer era and could conceivably make an impact as a TE2 in fantasy leagues. Bryan Fletcher takes over as Dallas Clark’s backup in Indy.
