Assuming Peerless Price plays, Finner will serve as Atlanta’s No. 3 receiver at Kansas City.

The Falcons really need a reliable deep threat to help stretch the field.

Aaron Beasley will start for Webster. Michael Jenkins could play more with Finneran out.

Finneran has only five catches since week 6 because of injuries.

Finneran is a decent pickup in playoff leagues if you are looking to fill a roster spot.

With Dez White and Michael Jenkins in town, Finneran has no fantasy value this season.

Finneran tore his ACL in early training camp and is done for 2006.

Finneran, who was injured Sunday night in a non-contact drill, is scheduled to have surgery Thursday. Jerome Pathon and Adam Jennings will likely compete for the No. 3 receiver role until a veteran is signed. Free agent Ricky Proehl could be a possible replacement.

“I’m not overly optimistic,” coach Jim Mora said. Don’t underestimate the loss of Finneran on Atlanta’s passing offense. He’s still their best wide receiver-per-play until proven otherwise and Mike Vick’s favorite outlet target. If nothing else, this and Alge Crumpler’s injuries will force Vick to rely on Roddy White and Michael Jenkins. The Falcons are already looking at free agents.
