    Colts waived WR Breshad Perriman.
Perriman was hoping to catch on with the Colts as a field stretcher but was unable to secure a spot on the 53-man roster in training camp. Perriman caught 4-of-5 targets for 34 yards in the preseason but didn’t do enough to separate himself from the pack. He’ll likely find a home at some point in the season and could even rejoin the Colts should an injury hit their receiver room.

Colts signed WR Breshad Perriman, formerly of the Buccaneers, to a contract.
Perriman has made his rounds through the league since being released from the Ravens after the 2017 season. He spent the last two seasons with the Buccaneers, totaling 20 receptions for 277 yards and two touchdowns over that span, and is little more than a one-dimensional deep threat. The former No. 26 overall pick will turn 30 in September and isn’t expected to compete for any key role; however, his ability to break off a big play could result in a long score or two if he finds his way onto the field.

Colts hosted free agent WR Breshad Perriman for a visit.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Colts are ‘in discussions with him about signing there.” Perriman spent the past two years in Tampa Bay, though a slew of injuries held him to 17 appearances over the pair of seasons. A reserve option for his second stint with the Bucs, Perriman totaled a 20-267-2 receiving line in 2021 and 2022 combined. Perriman has carved out a solid role as a journeyman receiver for hire and makes sense as a depth option for the young Indianapolis receiving room. He doesn’t figure to hold any fantasy value as a Colt but should assume a leadership role in the locker room if he is signed.

Russell Gage (hamstring) is out for Week 8 against the Ravens.
Gage left Week 7 against the Panthers with the hamstring injury, which has plagued him for most of the season. Look for Breshad Perriman and Scotty Miller to see a spike in snaps and routes against the Ravens, though both receivers should be considered desperation fantasy plays.

  • FA Wide Receiver #9
Breshad Perriman (knee/hamstring) is questionable for Week 5 against the Falcons.
The hamstring issue sidelined Perriman for Week 4. The Bucs got all of their receivers back last week, so even if Perriman is able to suit up, his status is immaterial to the offense.

Breshad Perriman (knee, hamstring) remained “limited” for Thursday’s practice.
Perriman seems on track to return after missing Week 4, but he is no longer needed for a relevant amount of targets with Chris Godwin, Julio Jones and Russell Gage all healthy for the time being.

Breshad Perriman (knee, hamstring) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Perriman missed last week with his lower-body issues, but the Bucs got all three of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Julio Jones back. Perriman is no higher than the Bucs’ WR5/6.

Buccaneers declared Breshad Perriman (hamstring) inactive for Week 4 against the Chiefs.
OT Donovan Smith is active for the first time since injuring his elbow in Week 1. Perriman was doubtful after missing practice all week. DL Akiem Hicks (foot) was ruled out on Friday and looks to be dealing with a multi-week injury. Also inactive for the Bucs are WR Scotty Miller, TE Kyle Rudolph, CB Zyon McCollum, and QB Kyle Trask.

Breshad Perriman (hamstring) is doubtful for Week 4 against the Chiefs.
It is not a surprise after he missed the first two days of practice. With Mike Evans back, Julio Jones perhaps ready to play this week, and Chris Godwin nearing his return, Perriman can head back to the waiver wire even in deep leagues.

Breshad Perriman (hamstring) did not practice Thursday.
Perriman was also out on Wednesday and now looks genuinely questionable to face the Chiefs. The good news for the Bucs is Mike Evans is back, Julio Jones appears on track to suit up, and Chris Godwin got in some practice reps Wednesday before a DNP on Thursday, suggesting he at least has a shot to play. Even when healthy, Perriman’s already shaky fantasy value will disappear once either Jones or Godwin returns to the field.
