Dolphins placed WR Braxton Berrios (knee) on injured reserve.
Drew Rosenhaus, Berrios’ agent, said he was “fearful” that Berrios sustained a significant injury and it sounds like that is very much the case. With Miami’s main wideouts mostly healthy this year, Berrios had played just 27 percent of the offensive snaps.

Dolphins agreed to terms with WR Braxton Berrios on a one-year contract.
Berrios’ deal is worth up to $3 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The veteran receiver caught 27 passes for 238 yards and one touchdown last season with the Dolphins and also served as their primary kick/punt returner, totaling 41 returns for 676 total yards. He’ll likely continue to see action as a returner while being used sparingly in the passing game.

De’Von Achane (knee) is active Week 11 against the Raiders.
The Dolphins declared WR Braxton Berrios, QB Skylar Thompson, RB Jeff Wilson, OL Robert Jones, OL Robert Hunt , TE Durham Smythe, and WR Chase Claypool inactive for Week 11 against the Raiders. Achane is returning from an injured reserve stint due to a Week 5 knee sprain. His big-play ability should make him an RB2 against a bendy Raiders defense. RB Jeff Wilson is a healthy scratch as a result. WRs Braxton Berrios (hamstring) and Chase Claypool (knee) are also inactive, though neither are significant contributors to the Dolphins offense.

Braxton Berrios (hamstring) is questionable for Week 11 against the Raiders.
Durham Smythe is also questionable. Both pass-catchers logged a pair of limited practices to close the week and should suit up on Sunday. If one or both are ruled out, there could be some room for a third receiver to earn some targets in the Miami offense, but we aren’t holding our breath.

Chase Claypool (knee) did not practice on Thursday.
Claypool has missed practice each of the last two days and is on the wrong side of playing in Week 11 against the Raiders. Even if he does suit up, Claypool isn’t expected to have much of a fantasy impact. In three games with the Dolphins, he’s managed just one catch for 15 yards on two targets. Braxton Berrios (hamstring) and Durham Smythe (ankle) who did not practice on Wednesday returned to the practice field on Thursday.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #83
Chase Claypool (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
Braxton Berrios and Durham Smythe also sat out of Wednesday’s practice. None of the three pass-catchers have flashed much fantasy potential this year, but all three missing could funnel some extra targets to Cedric Wilson. This is a situation to keep an eye on throughout the week.

Braxton Berrios caught 6-of-6 targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins’ Week 4 loss to the Bills.
He added an 11-yard rush. The catches, targets and yards were all new season highs, while the touchdown was Berrios’ first as a Dolphin. Berrios’ usage will be a little more dependable with River Cracraft on injured reserve with a shoulder issue, but he is still miles from PPR relevance behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Braxton Berrios caught both of his targets for 33 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 3 win against the Broncos.
Berrios was fourth on the team in targets despite Jaylen Warren (concussion) missing the game. With seven receptions in three games, Berrios should only be rostered in deep formats with multiple flex spots

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said Jaylen Waddle has entered the league’s concussion protocol.
Waddle exited Sunday’s win over the Patriots after a helmet-to-helmet hit and did not return to the game. His day ended with four receptions for 86 yards, but now, Waddle will need to clear concussion protocol ahead of Week 3’s matchup against the Broncos. If Waddle is unable to go, Braxton Berrios could be next in line to see an increase in target, but wouldn’t be viewed as much more than a WR4 for fantasy purposes.

Braxton Berrios caught 3-of-5 targets for 42 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 1 win against the Chargers.
A 16-yard first half grab was the highlight of Berrios’ day. He operated as the Dolphins’ No. 3 wideout behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Berrios, a useful fantasy option when given a decent route share, would be interesting for fantasy purposes if Hill or Waddle miss time in 2023.
