Brandon Jones (knee) missed practice Sunday after suffering a minor injury in this weekend’s game.
With Tyrone Calico out, Jones started in his first preseason game. He caught two passes for 12 yards and remains ahead of rookies Roydell Williams and Courtney Roby.

Titans rookie WR Brandon Jones returned to Titans practice Wednesday with flair.
He made a leaping, fingertip catch that showed why he’s passed the other two Titans rookies on the depth chart. We’d draft him ahead of more heralded rookies like Troy Williamson and Roddy White.
  • BAL Wide Receiver
Brandon Jones had five receptions for 89 yards Friday.
Jones and Courtney Roby are competing for the No. 3 WR duties. He’s worth considering as a flier if Tyrone Calico can’t get healthy.
  • BAL Wide Receiver
Titans WR Brandon Jones is suffering from a sore shoulder.
The rookie has looked solid throughout camp. The fact he’s played through his injuries is a good sign. The fact he has two injuries (knee, shoulder) in two weeks is not.
  • BAL Wide Receiver
Free agent WR Brandon Jones will reportedly meet with the Raiders on Sunday.
Jones has already worked out for the Seahawks and Vikings. The Raiders have a need at the position with Darrius Heyward-Bey really tired and Chaz Schilens still dealing with ongoing soreness in his foot.

In addition to the Seahawks, the Vikings, Raiders and Titans are also showing interest in free agent WR Brandon Jones.
This information is coming from Jones’ agent, so we need to take it with a grain of salt as he tries to drum up interest. Still, it shows that other teams -- including his former team, the Titans, believe Jones could have an impact with a change of scenery.
  • BAL Wide Receiver
Titans WR Brandon Jones (knee) could be activated from PUP next week.
Jones has yet to practice in camp. Bobby Wade is currently Tennessee’s third receiver but the Jones, who is far more talented, could push him for the role.
  • BAL Wide Receiver
Titans activated WR Brandon Jones from the active/PUP list.
In lieu of all the remarkable recoveries from major injuries this offseason, Jones’ might be the most overlooked. One of the best rookies in 2005 prior to a late-season ACL tear, he’ll practice once-a-day in camp and give Bobby Wade a run for the No. 3 receiver role.
  • BAL Wide Receiver
WR Brandon Jones (knee) saw a lot of playing time in Thursday’s practice with the red zone offense, but will not play this weekend against the Broncos.
Coach Jeff Fisher said he is still optimistic that Jones will play in the preseason. The second-year wideout is expected to compete to be the Titans No. 3 receiver.
  • BAL Wide Receiver
Titans WR Brandon Jones will play in the team’s third preseason game.
Jones’s rehab from ACL surgery has been a success. He estimates he’s at around 75-80 percent at this point, but overtaking Bobby Wade for the third receiver role should be doable for Jones at less than full strength.
