Rams traded up with the Patriots to select Oklahoma T Bobby Evans with the No. 97 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Rams traded pick Nos. 101 and 133 for pick Nos. 97 and 162. Evans (6’4/312) turned pro as a redshirt junior after making 40 starts for the Sooners, manning right tackle as a freshman and sophomore before earning second-team All-Big 12 as Kyle Murray’s blind-side protector in 2018. A limited athlete who won with length (34 ¾" arms) and power on tape, Evans is likely to move back to right tackle or even guard in the pros. If Evans finds a consistent position fit, he offers quality-starter upside based on dominant flashes from his college film. This is likely a depth add for the Rams offensive line that is going through some changes.
