Eagles declared WR Billy McMullen, OT Ian Allen, DL Jamaal Green, QB Jeff Blake, CB Matt Ware, DL Paul Grasmanis, FB Thomas Tapeh, and OT Trey Darilek inactive for week three.
    Todd Pinkston will start.
  • DET Wide Receiver
Fighting for a roster spot, Billy McMullen caught four passes for 87 yards tonight.
He’ll probably hang on as the Eagles No. 5 receiver. It’s bad news for Kori Dickerson, who’s likely headed for the practice squad.

    No surprises here.

McMullen is battling for a reserve wide receiver spot
  • DET Wide Receiver
Vikings WR Billy McMullen, DE Erasmus James, and LT Bryant McKinnie were placed on the training camp PUP list.
Head coach Brad Childress said both have “muscle strains” and did not set a timetable for their return. McMullen is competing for the fourth receiver slot. James may stay on the PUP list to begin the regular season.
  • DET Wide Receiver
Vikings waived WR Billy McMullen, C Norm Katnik, and C Kyle Cook.
You can only keep so many centers. McMullen at one point seemed to have a decent chance to start, but fell behind Martin Nance and Sidney Rice.
  • DET Wide Receiver
Lions signed WR Billy McMullen, formerly of the Seahawks.
He’ll provide depth until Bryant Johnson (golf injuries) returns.
  • DET Wide Receiver
    Seahawks released WR Billy McMullen.
Someone had to go to make room for Aaron Curry, and it’s the journeyman McMullen. McMullen has very good size and actually started two games for the Seahawks last season. He’ll probably pop up in another camp.
  • DET Wide Receiver
    Lions released WR Billy McMullen.
McMullen may resurface as an emergency fifth receiver later this season, but he won’t be a fantasy factor.

Seahawks signed WR Billy McMullen, formerly of the Redskins
McMullen, who’s bounced around and played in West Coast offenses like Mike Holmgren’s before, takes the place of recently released Jordan Kent. Seattle is so short on wideouts that he’ll be the club’s third receiver in Week 2.
