Ravens coach John Harbaugh said “I’m going to have to wait” when asked about Diontae Johnson’s availability following Week 13’s loss to the Eagles.
This comes a day after Harbaugh declined to comment on Johnson’s availability immediately after the loss when he said, “I’m not really ready to comment on that right now. I will be, but I don’t have enough information right now.” Whatever “information” Harbaugh needs is a mystery to most, but maybe he’ll gather that intel during the team’s Week 14 bye. Since being acquired by the Ravens at the trade deadline, Johnson has run 19 routes while playing on 39 offensive snaps. Johnson didn’t see the field in Sunday’s loss despite Rashod Bateman exiting early with a knee injury. Bateman’s injury isn’t believed to be long-term, but it will be interesting to see if Johnson sees an increase in playing time should Bateman miss a game or two.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #7
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Rashod Bateman (knee) is “sore” and that “it’s not a long-term thing.”
The Ravens will head into their Week 14 bye, so it is possible that Bateman misses no additional time at all if this optimistic report from their head coach is correct. Bateman being an unreliable target in a Ravens passing game that seems to have a new focal point every week means you could probably sneak him through the waiver wire in most shallow leagues if you need the roster spot this week.
  • BAL Running Back #22
Derrick Henry rushed 18 times for 92 yards in the Ravens’ Week 13 loss to the Eagles, adding three receptions for 29 yards.
Henry’s scoreless stat line didn’t give fantasy managers much to work with, but he caught multiple passes for just the second time this season and cleared 100 yards from scrimmage for the seventh time this year. Henry’s fantasy output has taken a notable hit in the rare Baltimore loss, but 121 yards being a floor game tells you everything you need to know. Game script shouldn’t be an issue for Henry following Baltimore’s Week 14 bye. He will return for a date with the Giants as a top-end RB1 once again.
  • BAL Running Back #43
Justice Hill caught 4-of-6 targets for 15 yards in the Ravens’ Week 13 loss to the Eagles, adding three carries for six yards.
Hill had more catches than carries for the fourth time this year. A pass-heavy script for Baltimore meant an uptick in opportunities for the passing-downs specialist, though he didn’t do much with the extra opportunities. Hill has an RB4 pulse in PPR formats but isn’t much of a factor in leagues that are less kind to pass-catchers. Fantasy managers don’t need to hold him through Baltimore’s upcoming bye week.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #18
Diontae Johnson was not targeted in the Ravens’ Week 13 loss to the Eagles.
Johnson has one catch in five games with the Ravens. Even with Rashod Bateman leaving Week 13 early, there’s no reason for fantasy managers to hold Johnson through Baltimore’s Week 14 bye.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #4
Zay Flowers caught 3-of-7 targets for 74 yards in the Ravens’ Week 13 loss to the Eagles.
Lamar Jackson took multiple big-play shots to Flowers but struggled to make the connection work outside of a 40-yard reception on Baltimore’s opening drive and a 20-yarder on the next drive. Flowers failed to bring in any of his three targets in the second half. Both he and the Ravens’ passing attack as a whole have slowed in recent weeks, with Flowers’ last 100-yard performance coming five weeks ago. He also has just one touchdown since then. The Ravens get their bye in Week 14 and then return to action versus the Giants. Even after a quiet month of football, Flowers will hang onto a WR2 ranking in Week 15 against the Giants.
  • BAL Tight End #80
Isaiah Likely caught 5-of-8 targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens’ Week 13 loss to the Eagles.
Likely wasn’t overly involved until the game was nearly out of hand. He reeled in three grabs for 24 yards and a touchdown on Baltimore’s final drive. The game wasn’t technically over, but the Eagles were clearly comfortable letting the Ravens move the ball as long as the clock bled out in the process. Still, Likely led the Ravens in targets and trailed only Mark Andrews in receptions. Likely remains stuck near the top of the TE2 ranks heading into Baltimore’s Week 14 bye.
  • BAL Tight End #89
Mark Andrews caught 6-of-7 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens’ Week 13 loss to the Eagles, adding one carry for two yards.
The Ravens have developed a tush push package of their own with Andrews under center. He picked up two yards and a first down on the ground for the second week in a row. Through the air, Andrews passed the eye test with flying colors, attacking the ball in the air as a big-play threat for Lamar Jackson on multiple occasions. He scored his seventh touchdown of the past eight games with an early jump ball win in the end zone. Andrews will hang out at the bottom of the TE1 ranks versus the Giants when he returns from Baltimore’s upcoming bye.
  • BAL Kicker #9
John Harbaugh told reporters that he is “not really planning” to move on from K Justin Tucker.
This isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement. The full quote reads, “if you’re asking me are we going to move on from Justin Tucker, I’m not really planning on doing that right now.” Harbaugh also said Tucker is “definitely capable of making every kick” though the veteran is clearly struggling right now; Tucker went 1-of-2 on extra points and 2-of-4 on field goals in Week 13. The team is likely to stick with him for as long as they can though it would be unsurprising to see them host a tryout or two in the coming weeks.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Lamar Jackson completed 23-of-36 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns in the Ravens’ 24-19, Week 13 loss to the Eagles, adding eight carries for 79 yards.
Jackson juiced the numbers with 31 yards and a touchdown through the air plus a 39-yard carry on the final drive. Philly was up 12 with less than a minute left on the clock and didn’t seem overly concerned with stopping Jackson. It was an otherwise quiet night from the MVP favorite as Philly bottled up the passing game for the better part of four quarters. The Ravens did, however, lose seven points to a pair of missed field goals and a missed PAT from Justin Tucker. Jackson’s pace through the air has slowed over his past three games with 237 yards and two touchdowns both going down as high-water marks over that stretch. Still, his rushing output papers over the occasional lackluster passing game, keeping him in contention for the QB1 overall title. He should hold onto that rank when the Ravens come out of their Week 14 bye to face the Giants.
