LSU senior T Badora Traore suffered a possible leg injury during the third quarter of Saturday’s spring game.
Traore (6'8/315) saw attention from trainers on the field before limping off under his own power following this leg injury. After the game, Coach O said that the injury did not look good in the moment, but that the team was still awaiting further word as to the exact nature of the concern. Traore is attempting to unseat Austin Deculus as starting right tackle this offseason.
  • LSU junior T Badara Traore (undisclosed) reportedly wore a gold non-contact jersey for the Tigers’ practice Wednesday.
It’s unknown how serious Traore’s undisclosed injury is, and whether or not it will impact his status for Saturday’s game against Ole Miss. This news comes on the same day that Adrian Magee, the team’s starting left tackle, practiced for the first time since he suffered a leg injury in LSU’s season-opening win over Miami.
  • LSU received a verbal commitment from four-star 2018 JUCO T Badara Traore.
Texas was also vying for Traore’s commitment, with Longhorns HC Tom Herman paying the 6-foot-8, 315-pounder an in-home visit earlier this week. LSU HC Ed Orgeron did likewise and it was Orgeron who ultimately emerged victorious in this recruiting battle. Traore has spent the past two seasons plying his trade with ASA College (New York). 247Sports’ composite ranks him as the No. 1 JUCO tackle prospect in the country and the No. 6 overall JUCO prospect in the 2018 class. LSU’s decision to target Traore makes complete sense, as they’re in line to potentially lose multiple players off their offensive line. Left tackle K.J. Malone is a senior, while C Will Clapp and RT Toby Weathersby are both eligible for the draft as juniors. Traore plans on signing with the Tigers on Dec. 20 and enrolling on campus for the spring semester come January.
