  • BUF Quarterback #13
Bills signed QB Anthony Brown, formerly of the Raiders.
Brown is the latest quarterback to join the Bills after the team lost backups Shane Buechele (neck) and Mitch Trubisky (knee) to injury. Trubisky is only expected to miss a few weeks, but while he’s out, Brown and Ben DiNucci will presumably compete for the Bills’ QB2 job. Brown was with the Raiders earlier this offseason and completed 1-of-3 passes for 24 yards in his only preseason contest while adding another five carries for 13 yards. Whether it’s Brown or DiNucci who wins the QB2 job, it’s safe to say the Bills hope neither has to sniff the field this season.
  • BAL Quarterback #2
Tyler Huntley (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.
Huntley has missed three straight practice sessions with a hamstring issue he picked up in Baltimore’s preseason win against the Eagles on Saturday. He had completed eight of 11 attempts for 88 yards and a touchdown before limping off. The Ravens will likely be cautious with Huntley over the next couple weeks. His absence should create more playing time for Josh Johnson and Anthony Brown in the Ravens’ final two preseason tilts.
  • MIA Quarterback #18
Tyler Huntley (shoulder/wrist) said he will be a game-time decision for the Ravens’ Wild Card game against the Bengals.
Huntley told reporters he was “pushing 99 percent” healthy on Friday. John Harbaugh said he was hopeful Huntley would be able to play. Huntley has been limited in practice throughout the week, suggesting he has a good shot at suiting up on Sunday. Though Huntley hasn’t been great under center this year, Baltimore’s odds of upsetting the Bengals are far higher with him under center than with Anthony Brown at the helm. Huntley will likely close the week with another limited practice before being listed as questionable.

  • Quarterback #5
Anthony Brown completed 19-of-44 passes for 286 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Ravens 27-16, Week 18 loss to the Bengals.
Brown’s start went about as expected, with two interceptions and a lost fumble that was recovered for a touchdown highlighting his afternoon. To his credit, he put things together in the second half, making several nice throws to Isiah Likely and Sammy Watkins. Brown would connect with Likely on a deep 28-yard pass to help set up a four-yard rushing touchdown by Kenyan Drake, but his three turnovers proved too much to overcome for the Ravens. It’s highly unlikely we see Brown in the AFC wild card matchup against the Bengals unless Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley can’t go.

  • MIA Quarterback #18
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Ravens “are not expected to announce their starting QB Sunday vs. the Bengals until pregame warmups.”
Tyler Huntley is questionable with wrist and shoulder injuries. Per Schefter, third-string quarterback Anthony Brown got reps with the starters in practice this week. The team has already made the decision to sit J.K. Dobbins, who was not on the injury report this week. They may make the same decision with Huntley, who is actually banged up with multiple injuries. If that is the case, even Mark Andrews would be hard to trust in Week 18. Brown, a UDFA from Oregon, would be making his first career start.

  • FA Linebacker #56
    Ravens waived LB Josh Bynes.
Andy Isabella and Anthony Brown were called up to the active roster in a pair of corresponding moves. Bynes hasn’t been active for a game since Week 7. He opened the year as a starter but was quickly taken out of the rotation. Another team may choose to claim him for some added depth at the end of the season.

  • Quarterback #5
Ravens signed Oregon QB Anthony Brown.
Brown (6’3/226) finished his final season with a completion percentage of 64.1%, 2,989 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He brings the type of athleticism and willingness to leave the pocket that may appeal to some at the next level, but he struggles with several aspects as a passer including general accuracy, failing to throw with touch at the right times, and inconsistent ball placement. Brown will need to fine-tune those things to hang as Lamar Jackson’s backup or, more likely, a practice squad member.

  • Quarterback #5
Oregon senior QB Anthony Brown completed 27-of-40 passes for 306 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in a 47-32 loss to Oklahoma on Wednesday night.
This game was a tale of two halves. In the first half, Brown (6'3/226) and the Ducks couldn’t get anything going on offense. On the first drive, Brown threw an interception up the seam. It hit the receiver in the hands, but he threw it too far behind the receiver. The ball popped up around four Sooners defenders, allowing for an easy pick. In the third quarter, they started to figure things out. Brown threw a phenomenal pass on a go route to Dont’e Thornton for a 66-yard touchdown. On the next drive, Brown threw another nice go route, this time on fourth down for 34 yards to Kris Hutson. He did it again, dropping a dime in the corner of the end zone. Brown will look to take his talents to the NFL next season.

  • Quarterback #5
Oregon senior QB Anthony Brown completed 13-of-24 passes for 147 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Friday’s 38-10 loss to Utah.
Brown (6'3/226) struggled all day in this one, with perhaps his worst play on the evening coming in the first quarter when Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd picked him off and returned the interception for 34-yards and a touchdown to put Utah up 14-0 after the first quarter. In addition to the two touchdowns he threw, Brown was also under first all night, taking four sacks on the afternoon while completing just 54.2% of his passes. Oregon is still bowl eligible, at 10-3, but this is a team that’s likely looking to get out of the season alive after dealing with injuries and player transfers all season.

  • Quarterback #5
Oregon senior QB Anthony Brown completed 23-of-28 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-29 victory over Oregon State in the Civil War.
Brown (6'3/226) had little trouble carving up the Beavers defense in the early going, as he led the Ducks to 24 points and 307 total yards while holding the ball for 20:16 of game time in the first half alone. His best throw came when he was flushed from the pocket, rolling right and threw a dead-on pass 55 yards down the field to Devon Williams who beat his man cleanly for a 50-yard touchdown strike. Brown was also very effective with the run-pass option plays, rushing 14 times for 83 yards in addition to his passing output. He finishes the regular season with 2,534 passing yards and a 15-to-4 ratio to go with 642 rushing yards and nine scores on the ground.
