Uncommitted four-star 2019 ATH Anfernee Orji said that he plans on taking official visits this spring, but has yet to specify which programs might receive those trips.
Orji (6'0/195) might not have named his visit destinations as of yet, but we can take an educated guess or two with this one. The Rockwall, Texas, native has already checked out Baylor in unofficial capacity and said that they were charging hard for his pledge. Minnesota and Colorado have both recently offered to him and could be in play for official trips, Minnesota probably more so than Colorado. Finally, there’s Vanderbilt, which has the edge of the family connection with Alston Orji -- his brother -- having just signed with the program. Orji (the younger) ranks as Rivals’ No. 32 prospect in the state of Texas. A dynamic athlete, he profiles as a probable defensive back for the collegiate ranks.

Vanderbilt received a verbal commitment from four-star 2019 ATH Anfernee Orji.
Orji (6'0/195) also had possible designs on Minnesota and SMU, but opted for the rough-and-tumble world of the SEC gridiron instead. Helping to grease the wheel for the Commodores, the fact that his brother, LB Alston Orji, signed on with Vandy as a member of the 2018 class. This makes for a strong landing by HC Derek Mason and staff, as the younger Orji was very much a priority recruit for the program. While his preference is to play safety, he said that he would be open to working at linebacker if that’s what the team asks of him.
