NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Giants OT Andrew Thomas (foot) is out for the season.
Thomas had foot surgery this week and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season. It’s quite the setback for the Giants, as whose pass-blocking is graded by Pro Football Focus as the 15th best in the NFL through Week 6. Thomas in the offseason signed a five-year, $117.5 million deal and was meant to be the anchor of New York’s offensive line.

New York Post’s Paul Schwartz reports Giants OT Andrew Thomas (foot) will miss significant time.
Thomas underwent an MRI after the Giants’ Week 6 loss to the Bengals to check on his foot injury. Schwartz reports that Thomas will miss time with the injury and “the fear is it could be a Lisfranc injury.” If it indeed is a Lisfranc, Thomas’ season would be in jeopardy. The Giants’ offensive line will suffer without Thomas, who was expected to be a franchise cornerstone for the team after signing a five-year, $117.5 million deal during the 2023 offseason.

Giants LT Andrew Thomas said he would have an MRI on his foot after Sunday’s Week 6 loss to the Bengals.
Thomas said his foot was “not great” after the game, so we’ll see what the MRI reveals later in the coming days. Thomas has been a solid presence along an offensive line that is currently graded as PFF’s 14th-best pass-blocking unit. He’s allowed four sacks on 16 pressures while earning a pass-blocking grade of 71.8. If he’s unable to go in Week 7 against the Eagles, Jermaine Eluemunor would likely slide over to the left side while Evan Neal mans the right side of the line.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Giants LT Andrew Thomas (knee) is expected to play in Week 11 against the Commanders.
Thomas was listed as questionable on Friday after being in limited in practice throughout the week. Right tackle Evan Neal remains out. Getting Thomas back is a win for the Giants’ offense, though it likely won’t make much of a difference with Tommy DeVito under center. The New York passing attack remains a fade even against the Commanders’ porous defense.

Giants LT Andrew Thomas (knee) is questionable for Week 11 against the Commanders.
Thomas tweaked his knee in Week 10 and was unable to return. He did, however, get in a trio of limited practices this week. That puts him in a good spot heading into the weekend, though the Giants will likely run him through pre-game workouts before making a final call. Right tackle Evan Neal did not practice this week and was ruled out.

Giants LT Andrew Thomas (knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Thomas returned from a lengthy absence because of a hamstring issue in Week 9. In Week 10, he was carted from the field with a knee injury. Though he did not return, the injury may not have been as serious as it looked given that he was able to practice on Wednesday. His status will be worth monitoring throughout the week, but we expect Thomas to be on the field on Sunday.

Giants OT Andrew Thomas was carted to the locker room in the first quarter of Week 10 against the Giants.
The Giants were already down two starters along the offensive line, with Thomas’ absence now making three. Rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito could be on his heels for the rest of his first NFL start.

Giants listed RT Evan Neal (ankle) as questionable for Week 9 against the Raiders.
It’s possible the Giants will have both of their starting tackles back on Sunday, as LT Andrew Thomas (hamstring) is also listed as questionable. Neal hasn’t played since suffering an ankle injury in Week 6, while Thomas has been sidelined since Week 1. Both have practiced on a limited basis throughout the week, and would be welcomed back by Daniel Jones, who is starting his first game since Week 5.

Giants LT Andrew Thomas (hamstring) is questionable for Week 9 against the Raiders.
Thomas has been out since Week 1 and re-injured his hamstring trying to return to action in Week 4. He was able to practice this week and could finally suit up for the horrendous Giants offensive line. Thomas’ return would be a boon for Daniel Jones as he returns to the lineup after missing three weeks with a neck injury. Pro Football Focus grades the Raiders’ pass rush as the league’s 14th best.

Giants LT Andrew Thomas (hamstring) has a chance to play in Week 9 against the Raiders.
Thomas now famously injured his hamstring in Week 1 and then re-aggravated the injury in practice while trying to return in Week 4. He has some light practice work last week and now looks ready to take another step towards returning to the field. While it’s no guarantee that he will suit up on Sunday, this is clearly a positive step for the Giants offense. With starting RT Evan Neal also potentially returning this week, the Giants could finally have a fully healthy offensive line with both Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley on the field. That hasn’t happened since the first half of Week 1.
