RB Alex Haynes, WR Chris Samp, and DL Otis Grigsby are expected to attend Pnathers’ training camp.
All three played in NFL Europe this spring, sustained injuries, and will battle for roster spots.
  • DEN Running Back
Panthers waived RB Alex Haynes and re-signed CB Curtis DeLoatch.
A special teams move. Haynes was a returner, not a ball carrying option.
  • DEN Running Back
After strong preseason outing, RB Alex Haynes has a solid chance to make the Panthers.
If that happens, Eric Shelton and/or Nick Goings will probably be out of a job. Haynes played in NFL Europa in 2006 and spent last year on Carolina’s practice squad.
  • DEN Running Back
Panthers signed RB Alex Haynes from their practice squad and waived TE Marcus Freeman.
Freeman will likely go to the practice squad. The addition of Haynes, a kick returner, may mean Nick Goings (concussion) will miss a few more games.
  • CAR Running Back
Panthers RB Nick Goings was the first-team kick returner for a second straight week on Friday.
Goings was working ahead of Ryne Robinson, who will still return punts. A strong preseason by Alex Haynes has made the writing on the wall very obvious for Eric Shelton.
  • FA Running Back #34
Panthers RBs DeAngelo Williams and Alex Haynes returned to practice Tuesday.
Williams was out with a stiff ankle. Haynes won’t have a spot on the team.
  • DEN Running Back
Panthers re-signed RB Alex Haynes, an exclusive rights free agent, to a one-year, $370,000 contract.
He has six career touches. This will be Haynes’ third straight training camp with the Panthers, and he’ll be just as poor a bet as ever to make the club.
  • DEN Running Back
Ravens signed RB Alex Haynes, released by the Panthers earlier this week.
With Willis McGahee, P.J. Daniels, and Cory Ross banged up, the team needed to add training camp depth. Cornerback Anwar Phillips was released to make room on the roster.
  • CAR Running Back #28
Panthers agreed to terms with first-round RB Jonathan Stewart on a five-year contract.
His deal has a base value of $14 million and a maximum value of $20 million. He will get $10.795 million in guarantees. Stewart was already running and hitting Saturday, hours after signing. The team released running back Alex Haynes and linebacker Brandon Jamison to make room on the roster.
  • DEN Running Back
Ravens waived RB Alex Haynes, TE Keith Heinrich, OL Adam Kraus, and LB Robert McCune.
The Ravens are shorthanded at running back now and will likely be active in the coming days. McCune was competing for a role on special teams.
