Dolphins declared RB Jeff Wilson, Jr., CB Ethan Bonner, CB Kendall Fuller, LB Mohamed Kamara, OL Andrew Meyer, TE Jack Stoll, and WR Dee Eskridge inactive for Week 12 against the Patriots.
There are no major surprises here as Fuller could not make it back from a concussion he suffered in Week 10. 2023 second-round pick Cam Smith should see more snaps in his absence. The big names for Miami are the ones that are not here as both Alec Ingold and Terron Armstead will be active, which should be a big boost for De’von Achane and the running game.
  • MIA Running Back #30
The Draft Network’s Jon Ledyard reports that the Saints met with Wisconsin FB Alec Ingold.
Now this is an interesting one. Ingold is one of -- if not the -- best fullbacks in this class, and we’ve seen the Saints employ players of this ilk in a variety of different ways. He could be an excellent lead-blocker for Alvin Kamara who also can catch the (many) dump-off passes from Drew Brees. On paper, seems like a pretty good fit.
  • MIA Running Back #30
Wisconsin FB Alec Ingold ran the 40-yard dash in 4.89 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Ingold (6'1/242) doesn’t have much in terms of speed on the hoof, but that was already known coming into the combine. Looking past the 40-yard dash, the Wisconsin product logged two nice little jumps of 34 inches (vertical) and 116 inches (broad). It’s been a smooth draft process for Ingold so far as he angles toward a likely Day 3 selection, as he earlier turned in a respectable week of practice at the NFL Scouting Combine.
  • MIA Running Back #30
Wisconsin FB Alec Ingold rushed for seven yards on one carry while catching one pass for 11 yards for the North team in Saturday’s 34-24 win over the South team in the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Ingold (6'1/247) was not a heavily utilized piece in the North’s offensive attack, but that was to be expected given his position. He was an integral blocking piece for Jonathan Taylor and crew during his time at Wisconsin. The Draft Network’s Kyle Crabbs refers to the Wisconsin back as a “pretty strong athlete” -- we’ll be interested to see his combine marks. By most accounts, he looked good in practices down in Mobile.
  • MIA Running Back #30
Wisconsin senior FB Alec Ingold accepted an invitation to the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Fullbacks are not often high draft picks, and Ingold (6'2/242) isn’t likely to be an exception. He has been a lead-blocker for some excellent rushing attacks, however, so a strong showing there -- and hopefully for him the ability to play special teams and catch the ball out of the backfield -- could help him be one of the first fullbacks drafted.
  • MIA Running Back #30
ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. ranked Wisconsin junior FB Alec Ingold as the No. 4 underclassman draft prospect at his position.
Kiper is all in on Badgers fullbacks, having slotted in not only Ingold as a potential prospect of interest for the NFL, but also Austin Ramesh (whom he ranks as the No. 3 senior fullback). For his part, the 6-foot-2, 237-pound Ingold initially joined Wisconsin as a linebacker before moving over to fullback. He was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team as a sophomore in 2016.
  • MIA Running Back #30
Wisconsin junior FB Alec Ingold has recovered from the leg injury he sustained earlier in camp.
Ingold (6'2/237) has 38 career carries under his belt and when the Badgers opt for a surprise fullback handoff, he’ll typically be the one taking the ball. Over the summer, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. ranked Ingold as the No. 4 draft-eligible underclassman fullback in the FBS.
