PIT Tackle
Cowboys LT Flozell Adams (knee), TE Anthony Fasano (shoulder), and ILB Akin Ayodele (knee) are all expected to practice when training camp opens Wednesday.

All three had offseason surgery. Adams’ availability for day one, even if he’s not 100 percent, is huge news for the Dallas line. He needs to play better this year for the passing game to excel.

DeMarcus Ware and Bobby Carpenter have also made efforts to drop weight. Bill Parcells liked his linebackers beefy but Wade Phillips’ defense requires less pounding. The players’ quickness should increase with less baggage.

Ayodele underwent minor knee surgery two months ago and missed some minicamp practices while recovering. He had 84 stops in his first year with Dallas.

Greg Ellis’ rehab is also progressing and he’ll likely keep his job despite a recent trade demand. Ayodele and Adams both had arthroscopic procedures and should be fine going forward. Stanback’s status is the least certain.
