Saints QB Adrian McPherson suffered a bruised leg Saturday night.
He was hit by the Titans’ team mascot. McPherson should be fine.
  • NO Quarterback
The AP reports Saints QB/KR Adrian McPherson was injured Saturday night when the Titans’ team mascot hit him in the leg on a golf cart.
McPherson walked off the field but didn’t play afterwards. We wonder if the funny incident hurt McPherson’s chances of making the team.
  • NO Quarterback
NFL Network’s Adam Shefter reports that the Saints will try to use Adrian McPherson at receiver and on punt returns.
He’s picking up the New Orleans offense slowly, but this gives the team a reason to keep him on the roster. Jamie Martin should be the team’s backup.
  • NO Quarterback
The NFL has chosen not to discipline the Titans after their mascot, “T-Rac”, injured Saints QB Adrian McPherson by driving a golf cart into him.
Where’s the accountability here? We’re alarmed that T-Rac will continue to terrorize fourth-string quarterbacks on his wheels of death. Did anyone even give T-Rac a breathalyzer test?
  • NO Quarterback
Saints QB Adrian McPherson could miss two weeks with a bruised knee after being hit by Tennessee’s mascot.
“T-Rac,” the mascot of the Titans, hit McPherson while driving a golf cart. The NFL is investigating the matter. A five-time Pro Bowler (T-Rac, not McPherson), the mascot now risks being released later this month.
  • NO Quarterback
Adrian McPherson may be cut from the Saints.
It sounds like the team is willing to go with Todd Bouman as the number three quarterback. We have a feeling McPherson would clear waivers and could be placed on the practice squad anyhow.
  • NO Quarterback
Ex-Florida State QB Adrian McPherson had his 40 clocked at 4.52 and 4.59 seconds and his vertical jump recorded at 40 1/2 inches at a private workout on Tuesday.
Both his 40 time and his vertical were improvements over his marks at the NFL Combine earlier this month. McPherson is regarded as a highly talented, yet somewhat troubled prospect. Though he has the distinction of being the only prep athlete to be named both Mr. Football and Mr. Basketball of Florida in the same year, he also has character concerns after being dismissed from FSU for gambling on FSU games while he was playing. McPherson, given the right situation, could evolve into a starting NFL quarterback in a few years. Someone to keep an eye on in deep dynasty leagues.
  • NO Quarterback
Saints signed QB Adrian McPherson, a fifth-round pick, to a three-year, $1.05 million deal with a $125,775 signing bonus.
The wildly talented former AFL star will be the number three QB in New Orleans this season. The Saints would love him to challenge Aaron Brooks by 2006.
  • NO Quarterback
Former Saints draft pick Adrian McPherson is currently the backup quarterback for the Grand Rapids Rampage of the Arena League.
He’s the backup to Chad Salisbury, no relation to Sean. McPherson hasn’t gotten so much as a phone call from NFL teams lately. He threw 61 TDs and 5 INTs as the AFL’s Rookie of the Year in ’04, so it looks like he’s regressed.
  • NO Quarterback
The Saints don’t plan to send QB Adrian Peterson to NFL Europe.
The team wants him to get a full offseason with the Saints coaching staff. With either Vince Young or Matt Leinart likely headed to New Orleans, McPherson’s future will probably be as a backup at best.
