  • NYG Cornerback #22
Giants re-signed CB Adoree’ Jackson to a one-year contract.
The oft-injured Jackson spent the last three seasons with the Giants and was routinely picked on by opposing quarterbacks in 2023. His 19.1 percent targeted rate ranks fourth-highest among 65 NFL cornerbacks with at least 415 coverage snaps. He surrendered league-high rates in both yards allowed per coverage snap (1.75) and explosive pass plays allowed rate (4.4 percent). The Giants’ secondary needed help but Jackson’s best days are likely far behind him.
  • Cornerback #22
Bleacher Reports’ Jordan Schultz reports “negotiations are underway on a deal” for the Giants to re-sign CB Adoree’ Jackson.
According to Schultz, the Giants have already brought in Jackson for a physical. A deal is not imminent at this time, but Schultz says “the two sides are very interested” in one another. Jackson has spent the last three seasons with the Giants, appearing in 37 games while totaling 176 tackles, two interceptions, and 23 pass breakups. He’s started all but one of the games he’s appeared in and could see significant snaps again if the two sides reunite.
  • NYG Cornerback #22
Giants CB Adoree’ Jackson (concussion) was removed from the Week 12 injury report and will play against the Patriots.
Jackson went down with the concussion in Week 9 and missed the following two games. He made it through the league’s concussion protocol this week and was cleared from the injury report entirely on Friday. Jackson has three pass breakups and 28 tackles this year.
  • NYG Cornerback #22
Giants CB Adoree’ Jackson (concussion) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Jackson entered the league’s concussion protocol following their Week 9 loss to the Raiders. He has been out ever since and hasn’t practiced in any capacity until today. A limited practice to open the week makes him likely to return for Week 12. Getting Jackson back in the lineup will help shore up a defense that has been susceptible through the air this year.
  • NYG Cornerback #22
Giants CB Adoree’ Jackson (concussion) will not play in Week 11 against the Commanders.
Jackson did not practice at all this week and will miss a second game because of the concussion he suffered in Week 9. He remains in the league’s concussion protocol. After two missed games, Jackson should be able to return next week. Until then, the Giants will be without their top cornerback versus a pass-heavy Washington offense.
  • Kayvon Thibodeaux (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.
Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson was also held out of practice because of a concussion. He missed Week 10 because of the brain injury as well. Held together by shoestrings and glue, the Giants’ defense will be an easy matchup for the Commanders in Week 11.
  • NYG Cornerback #22
Giants declared CB Adoree’ Jackson, RB Deon Jackson, S Gervarrius Owens, OL Mark Glowinski, OL Evan Neal, DT Jordon Riley, and K Cade York inactive for Week 10 agains the Cowboys.
The Giants will be without two offensive linemen and their top cornerback against one of the top overall rosters in the league. It could be a long day for New York faithful.
  • NYG Cornerback #22
Giants CB Adoree’ Jackson (concussion) will not play in Week 10 against the Cowboys.
As if the Giants’ defense was beatable already, they will now be without their top cornerback. Jackson has three pass breakups and 28 tackles this year. Expect Dak Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense to move the ball at will this week.
  • NYG Cornerback #22
Giants CB Adoree’ Jackson has entered concussion protocol.
Jackson had been battling a neck injury earlier in the year and now has apparently suffered a concussion in the Week 9 loss to the Raiders. He joins an ever-growing list of injured Giants players, and if he’s unable to clear protocol in time for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys, it will be good news for CeeDee Lamb and the rest of the Dallas receivers.
  • NYG Cornerback #22
Giants CB Adoree’ Jackson (neck) is questionable for Week 8 against the Jets.
Jackson was limited in practice throughout the week. He missed Week 7 despite getting in a trio of limited practices, so he truly is a coinflip to play in Week 8. EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux is also listed as questionable. He is dealing with a knee injury. If Zach Wilson was ever going to show a spark, it would be against an undermanned Giants defense.
