Arizona has a very thin crop of tight ends. None of them are worth a look in fantasy leagues.

Bergen had a couple decent seasons in Arizona after going undrafted in 2005. He’ll add depth to a unit that currently has Anthony Fasano hurting.

Bergen caught 28 passes for a tight end-desperate Cardinals team in 2005, but has done very little since. He was never in the hunt for a roster spot.

Daniel Wilcox is still nursing a toe injury and Quinn Sypniewski is out for the year, so these two add camp depth. Bergen and Walker have 30 NFL starts between them, but little production. Walker probably has a better shot of making the team as a blocker, but is coming off a shoulder injury.

Harper was Baltimore’s seventh-round pick in April. Bramlet’s release leaves the club with one healthy quarterback -- rookie Joe Flacco.

Bergen has spent time with Arizona, Dallas, and Baltimore in his three years in the league.

Bergen, an on-and-off starter all season, finished his second year with 15 catches for 111 yards and a touchdown. Arizona hasn’t determined whether he’ll need surgery yet, but he’ll likely be placed on I.R.

Perhaps Dennis Green’s successor will use the tight end in the passing game more. Bergen led the group with 15 receptions in 2006.

Bergen led Arizona’s tight ends with 15 catches in ’06 but is rehabbing a knee injury. Robinson was once a star in NFL Europe. Cantu, Bergen, and Robinson now enter the unrestricted free agent market.
