Giants coach Brian Daboll said CB Aaron Robinson (knee/IR) is doubtful to return this season.
Placed on IR on October 4, Robinson suffered the knee injury in Week 4 and has not been spotted on the practice field since. If Daboll is right to be doubtful, Robinson will enter year three of his rookie contract in 2022 as a competitor for a cornerback job rather than an established piece of the Giants defense. He finishes 2022 with six tackles in two starts.

Giants placed Aaron Robinson (knee) on injured reserve.
He’ll miss at least the next four weeks. Robinson bent his knee awkwardly in Week 4’s win over the Bears. He’d produced a 73.2 PFF coverage grade through his first two games of the season. The Giants are besieged with secondary injuries and will likely have to turn to the deep bench to replace Robinson in Week 5, likely using Fabian Moreau extensively.

Aaron Robinson (knee) left the Giants’ Week 4 game against the Bears and is questionable to return.
Robinson suffered what looked like a scary injury after bending awkwardly. He was able to walk off the field slowly under his own power.

Giants CB Aaron Robinson (appendectomy) is out for Week 2 against the Panthers.
A third-round pick last year, Robinson is the Giants’ starting corner opposite Adoree’ Jackson and graded out as New York’s top cover man at Pro Football Focus last week against the Titans. It’s a big loss with D.J. Moore and Robbie Anderson on deck. Darnay Holmes and third-round rookie Cor’Dale Flott will have to pick up the slack.

Giants activated CB Aaron Robinson (core muscle surgery) from the reserve/PUP list.
The Giants selected Robinson in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft but the core muscle surgery landed him on PUP for the first six games of his rookie season. Robinson projects as a starting nickel corner but it remains to be seen how much work he’ll be given in his debut. Expect the Chiefs to pick apart any Giants corner presented to them on Monday night.

Giants third-round rookie CB Aaron Robinson will stay on the PUP list and miss the first six games of his rookie season.
Robinson is still recovering following core muscle surgery. The UCF product has been practicing (and, if you believe beat reports, looking good doing so), but it appears the team isn’t confident enough in where he’s at to take him off the PUP list. He’ll be out for at least the first six games of 2021.

Giants signed third-round CB Aaron Robinson to a four-year contract.
The team now has only one more rookie to get under contract. One of the most versatile players at his position in college, Robinson (6'1/193) played both spots during his time at UCF, often lining up from the slot in nickel formations and as an outside cornerback in base. Robinson sports a thick, muscular frame and it shows in his play. He loves to get aggressive at the line of scrimmage, (as well as at the top of breaks) and really force wide receivers to match his scrappiness. When asked to play zone or from an off alignment, though, Robinson’s feet can admittedly get stuck in the mud (16th-percentile short shuttle) at times. He still projects as a starting nickel corner with sticky man coverage skills and a hard-nosed mentality towards the run game a la Essang Bassey.

Giants selected Central Florida CB Aaron Robinson with the No. 71 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Giants traded picks No. 76 and No. 164 to Denver in order to move up five spots to No. 71.
