Zion Williamson (back) has been ruled out for the rest of the 2024-25 season.
Williamson has already missed the Pelicans’ last five games, and he will remain sidelined for the final two weeks of the regular season. He suffered a low back bone contusion on March 19, and with New Orleans looking to improve their lottery odds, there is no reason for Williamson to play through any injury. Bruce Brown should continue to start for the rest of the season when available. Williamson suited up for just 30 games this season, providing ninth-round value in nine-category leagues mainly due to a horrific 65.6 percent showing from the charity stripe. It’s possible we see more Williamson trade rumors this offseason after another disastrous season for the Pelicans. He’s under contract through the 2027-2028 season.

Zion Williamson (back) is out for Sunday’s game against the Hornets.
Zion is set to miss his fifth game in a row with a back injury. Bruce Brown should continue to start in his absence and is turning into a valuable fantasy player as Williamson continues to sit out.
  • NOP Small Forward #00
Bruce Brown tallied 18 points (6-of-11 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist, two steals, two blocks and two three-pointers in 32 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Warriors.
The stat line Brown recorded on Friday was what fantasy managers grew accustomed to during his time with the Nuggets, even if this performance came in a losing effort. The Pelicans were without CJ McCollum and Zion Williamson, and those absences boosted Brown’s usage. How valuable he is for the rest of the season comes down to his availability and that of fellow vets McCollum and Williamson. On Sunday, the Pelicans host the Hornets in a matchup of lottery-bound teams, which sets up well for Brown regarding fantasy value.

Zion Williamson (back) has been ruled out against the Warriors on Friday.
This will be a fourth-straight absence for Zion, and with Bruce Brown off the injury report, he should continue to start in place of Williamson. Keion Brooks Jr. got the nod in New Orleans’ last game, but he will likely return to a reserve role with Brown back.
  • NOP Power Forward #1
Zion Williamson (back) and CJ McCollum (rest) are out for Monday’s game against the 76ers.
Williamson will miss his third game in a row due to a back injury while McCollum is getting a rest day on the second leg of a back-to-back. With Bruce Brown also out, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl could move into the starting lineup for Williamson. Jordan Hawkins could take McCollum’s place in the lineup.

Zion Williamson (back) and Yves Missi (hip) have been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.
Williamson is set to miss his second straight game while Missi is a new addition to the injury report after playing against the Timberwolves on Friday. Bruce Brown will likely start for Williamson and Karlo Matkovic could draw a spot start in Missi’s place.

Zion Williamson (back) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.
Williamson did not play in Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves, so Bruce Brown moved into the starting lineup. While he hasn’t been a great fantasy option this season, Brown is worth streaming on nights when he starts. Also, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl should play more minutes off the bench if Zion is unavailable.

Zion Williamson (back) is out for Friday’s matchup with the Timberwolves.
This is a new injury for Williamson who has appeared in two straight games for New Orleans. In his absence, Jeremiah Robinson=Earl and Karlo Matkovic could see a bump in playing time. The Pels play a back-to-back set on Sunday and Monday, and fantasy managers should keep an eye on Williamson’s status for that pair of contests.

Zion Williamson accumulated 29 points (12-of-16 FGs, 5-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, eight assists and three steals in 30 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Timberwolves.
Williamson was outstanding on Wednesday, doing a little of everything to lead the Pelicans to a win over the Timberwolves. He’s scored 20 points or more in nine straight games, providing top-50 value in eight-cat formats over the past three weeks. When he’s on the court, Williamson can be an elite fantasy player for managers willing to punt free throw percentage. And he’s begun to play to expectation in recent weeks, which has been great for those who have Zion rostered.

Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 30 points (9-of-18 FGs, 12-of-15 FTs), six rebounds, three assists and two blocks in a 127-81 loss to the Pistons on Monday.
Following a one-game absence due to personal reasons, Williamson was back in the lineup on Monday. It was a tough first half; he shot 1-of-7 from the floor and scored just eight points. Williamson was far more effective after the break, but New Orleans trailed by 31 points at halftime. It was too little, too late for the Pelicans, but it was still an effective night for fantasy managers. New Orleans still has three more games this week, including a rematch with the Pistons on Sunday to wrap up the week.
