Desmond Bane (back soreness) and Yuta Watanabe (personal reasons) have been ruled out for Saturday’s game against Orlando.
Watanabe’s continued absence won’t impact their rotation, but Bane’s certainly does. He played 40 minutes in their last game, which will now need to be fulled. Luke Kennard should be back, and he will likely take on a lot of those minutes, with Lamar Stevens and Scotty Pippen Jr. also taking on larger roles.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #10
Luke Kennard (personal reasons) and Yuta Watanabe (personal reasons) will remain sidelined for Wednesday’s game against the Lakers.
Kennard and Watanabe remain away from the team and do not have timelines for their return. DeJon Jarreau has recently picked up rotation minutes, and Lamar Stevens’s return has also helped with the numbers. Stevens and Jake LaRavia are worth considering in deep leagues.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #10
Luke Kennard (personal reasons) and Yuta Watanabe (personal reasons) have been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Nuggets.
Kennard and Watanabe remain away from the team and do not have concrete timelines for their return. Kennard’s absence is more impactful, as he was guaranteed rotation minutes when available. Jordan Goodwin and Scotty Pippen Jr. are two options for the Grizzlies, but neither has provided consistent fantasy value.
  • MEM Small Forward #18
Yuta Watanabe has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Spurs for personal reasons.
Watanabe’s continued absence will not significantly impact fantasy basketball, as he was on the back end of the rotation when available. However, it does remove another potential streamer from the ranks, as the Grizzlies remain severely shorthanded.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #10
Luke Kennard (personal reasons), Lamar Stevens (left adductor strain), Yuta Watanabe (personal reasons), and Scotty Pippen Jr. (left shin contusion) have been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Warriors.
Kennard’s continued absence is the most impactful, but the recent return of Desmond Bane has helped the Grizzlies account for that. Bane, John Konchar, and Jake LaRavia will continue to log heavy minutes as the Grizzlies look to compete with an incredibly limited roster.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #24
Lamar Stevens (left adductor soreness), Scotty Pippen Jr. (left shin soreness), and Yuta Watanabe (personal reasons) have been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Kings.
Stevens, Pippen, and Watanabe will all remain sidelined for Monday’s game, leaving the already-shorthanded Grizzlies down additional bodies. While Pippen has made some starts at point guard since the All-Star break, Stevens’ absence is the most impactful in fantasy leagues. GG Jackson, Jake LaRavia, and Wenyen Gabriel can absorb the available minutes.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #24
Lamar Stevens (left adductor soreness) and Yuta Watanabe (personal reasons) have been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Thunder.
Stevens and Watanabe remain sidelined, with the former’s absence being more impactful in fantasy basketball. Jake LaRavia, Wenyen Gabriel, and DeJon Jarreau are available to play rotation minutes off the bench, with the former being the best option for fantasy managers needing a deep-league streamer.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #5
Vince Williams Jr. (left patellar tendon soreness) and Yuta Watanabe (right wrist sprain) have been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Wizards.
Williams will miss a second straight game, while Watanabe has not appeared in a game since March 1. The former’s absence is far more impactful in fantasy basketball circles, as he has been a fixture in the starting lineup. Jake LaRavia and Luke Kennard can absorb the minutes normally going to Vince. Of the two, Kennard may offer a higher fantasy upside.
  • MEM Small Forward #18
Yuta Watanabe (right wrist sprain) will remain sidelined for Sunday’s game against the Thunder.
Make it four straight games on the sideline for Watanabe, which means Lamar Stevens’ minutes will remain consistent. Stevens, who played 29 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Hawks, is worthy of consideration in deep leagues, but the possible return of GG Jackson could limit his upside.
  • MEM Small Forward #18
Yuta Watanabe (right wrist sprain) will not play in Friday’s game against the Hawks.
Friday’s game will be Watanabe’s third straight on the sideline due to his sprained wrist. The absence has opened up rotation minutes for Matthew Hurt, who hasn’t done enough to merit being rostered in fantasy leagues.
