The Mavericks officially signed PG Yuki Togashi to a non-guaranteed contract on Wednesday.
Togashi will join the Mavs for the remainder of the preseason, but he’s expected to join the D-League’s Texas Legends once the regular season begins. The 5'8" PG is not on the fantasy radar.

Dallas Mavericks’ general manager and president Donnie Walsh said that Yuki Togashi is a long shot to make the Maverick’s NBA roster.
While the Mavericks have high hopes for Togashi, they expect him to be with their D-League affiliate for most of the season. “I’d say it’s a long shot at best for him to make [an NBA] roster right now,” Nelson said. “But it’s an opportunity for him to make his dream come true in reality to play for the Legends and, like so many guys before him, to use this as a springboard to get in the league.” While the 5'7" guard averaged 16.3 points and a league-high 7.6 assists in the Japanese Basketball Leagues, he doesn’t warrant any fantasy consideration.

The Dallas Mavericks have requested waivers on G Yuki Togashi.
Mavericks’ general manager and president Donnie Nelson had previously said that Togashi was a longshot to make the team’s final roster, so this comes as no surprise. Any (minimal) fantasy value that Togashi may have had will now be rendered moot as he’ll likely report to the Mavericks’ D-League Affiliate, the Texas Legends.
