Xavier Silas has agreed to a training camp contract with the Nuggets.
Silas will provide another body at camp, but with three point guards already on the roster on guaranteed deals, it’s unlikely he’ll be able to snag a spot on the regular-season roster.
  • BOS Point Guard #4
Jrue Holiday played on Wednesday and had six points, four rebounds, five assists and five steals on 3-of-7 shooting in 26 minutes.
He’s already been ruled out for Thursday’s finale at Detroit, so Jodie Meeks or Evan Turner would make a good replacement for him. Xavier Silas, who scored five points on Wednesday, could start at point guard on Thursday.
  • DEN Point Guard #13
Sixers signed G Xavier Silas for the remainder of the regular season.
Silas impressed the Sixers’ brass with a strong training camp, but there just wasn’t enough room for him on the roster. He’ll likely see minutes over the final two games with the team now resting/tanking ahead of the playoffs.
  • DAL Point Guard #18
    Sixers sign G Maalik Wayns.
Wayns was undrafted out of Villanova, but he’ll ink a one-year deal with the Sixers and hope to make the roster out of training camp. He offers no fantasy appeal, and will simply be trying to beat out Xavier Silas for the third-string point guard job.
  • DEN Point Guard #13
Xavier Silas (face) had successful surgery last week to repair “several sinus fractures.”
Silas was injured during a summer league game where he took an elbow from a teammate and also suffered a concussion as well. He had facial surgery to repair the issue and it’s not yet known how long he’ll be forced to sit on the sidelines. He’ll be trying to make the Sixers as the third-string point guard.
  • PHI Center
Sixers waive F/C Mikki Moore and G Xavier Silas.
Even with Andrew Bynum hurting, Moore didn’t have enough gas left in the tank to stick with the Sixers.
  • DEN Point Guard #13
Sixers sign G Xavier Silas to a non-guaranteed contract.
After Silas was injured during summer league while playing for the Sixers, and had to undergo facial surgery for “several sinus fractures,” he’ll be back in camp with Philadelphia.
  • DEN Power Forward #42
The Wizards have invited power forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu, as well as small forward Josh Childress, shooting guard Xavier Silas, and center D’or Fischer to training camp.
Even with Emeka Okafor (neck) out indefinitely, the Wizards still have some solid depth. Mensah-Bonsu may have a fun name, but there’s little reason to pay attention to any of these guys.
  • DEN Point Guard #13
The Celtics will sign G-League guard Xavier Silas to a 10-day contract.
He’s just going to provide some emergency depth for the No. 2 seed in the East. There are no real fantasy implications here, but we’ll let you know if he’s in the mix for minutes.
  • DEN Point Guard #13
The Celtics will waive Xavier Silas.
Maybe he can latch on to a team for another 10-day deal, but the Celtics wanted to get Jonathan Gibson on their roster for the last week of the season.
