Mikki Moore has signed a contract to play in the NBDL.
Another veteran looking for a comeback, Moore will head to the NBDL in order to do so. Willie Warren will also ink a deal, and Taylor Griffin is expected to follow suit later this week.
  • LAC Shooting Guard
Willie Warren has signed with Maccabi Rishon in Israel.
Warren bounced between the D-League and the Clippers during the 2010-11 season after being picked in the second round, but he wasn’t able to stick. He played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the D-League last year.
  • LAC Shooting Guard
Former Clippers guard Willie Warren has signed with the Hungarian team Szolnoki Olaj.
Warren played in Israel last year, averaging 16.1 points and 4.2 assists per game, and it’s likely that he’ll spend the rest of his playing days overseas.
  • NBA Point Guard #5
Eric Bledsoe played just 23 minutes against the Hornets on Monday, scoring four points on 2-of-5 shooting with four rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block.
It looked like he may have had a second lease on life with Randy Foye supposedly out with a hamstring injury, but Foye surprisingly played 11 minutes, Willie Warren saw 11 minutes of run, and Eric Gordon handled some PG duties, too. We don’t fully trust Foye or Baron Davis right now, but if a guy like Brandon Rush is available we say make the move.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #23
According to the Clippers postgame report, Eric Gordon told teammates during one of their late timeouts that he heard a pop in his sprained left shoulder.
A ‘pop’ would indicate some structural damage, and the most recent report is calling it a shoulder “stinger.” The Clips backcourt is a total mess as behind Gordon are Randy Foye (out with hamstring injury), Willie Warren, and Stephen Dennis, although Rasual Butler could also start at SG. Stay tuned.
  • LAC Shooting Guard
Willie Warren could build off his career-high 17 minutes played on Friday, if Eric Bledsoe (ankle) and Randy Foye (hamstring) cannot play on Sunday.
It’s hard to get too excited about Warren, but if the aforementioned guys don’t play he’ll be worth a look as a spot-start.
  • NBA Point Guard #5
Eric Bledsoe suffered a high ankle sprain in Friday’s loss to the Suns which explains his 11 minutes and two points. He’s questionable for Sunday’s game against Utah.
We are late to the dance, but the good news is that there is a possibility that Bledsoe will play on Sunday. And how there can be no mention of the starting point guard sitting out the second half in the game recap is another story. In any case, Baron Davis is still “out indefinitely” and Randy Foye is bothered by a hamstring injury. If Bledsoe can’t go, look for Willie Warren to have a career night.
  • NYK Point Guard
After a recent report in which coach Vinny Del Negro said Baron Davis (knee) might return next week, the L.A. Times is reporting him as being out indefinitely.
It’s a bit of semantics, but an important reminder that Baron’s timetable is tenuous at best. And despite the recent high-ankle sprain of Eric Bledsoe (questionable for Sunday) and touch-and-go hamstring injury that Randy Foye has, the Clips aren’t going to rush Baron into action. Just keep him stashed on your bench for now.
  • LAC Shooting Guard
Clippers re-assigned Willie Warren to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBADL.
This is Warren’s second stint in the minors. He made waves this week with some tweets questioning his own motivation, but we doubt this demotion is a result of that.
  • LAC Shooting Guard
Clippers assigned G Willie Warren to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBADL.
Warren has appeared in 15 games this season, mostly during garbage time. Even if Baron Davis’ back woes proved to be serious, the Clippers couldn’t realistically count on Warren.
