GG Jackson (left knee soreness) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Hawks.
Given how shorthanded the Grizzlies are, Jackson has “silly season standout” potential, but only if he’s healthy. His appearance on the injury report may be one reason why Memphis signed Wenyen Gabriel to a 10-day contract on Thursday afternoon. As for who would be worth considering as a streamer, Jake LaRavia would be a good choice, regardless of what happens with Jackson.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics have signed Wenyen Gabriel to a training camp deal.
With the Celtics sending Robert Williams to Portland as part of a trade to acquire Jrue Holiday, there’s a clear need for additional depth in the frontcourt. With that being the case, the decision to reportedly sign Gabriel to a training camp deal is unsurprising. He appeared in a career-high 68 games for the Lakers last season, averaging 5.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in 15.1 minutes. However, Gabriel’s play with South Sudan at the FIBA World Cup truly grabbed the Celtics’ attention. Gabriel, who worked out for the Celtics well before Sunday’s trade, will compete with Luke Kornet (whose contract for this season is not guaranteed) and two-way contract recipient Neemias Queta for rotation minutes in training camp.
  • DAL Power Forward #3
Anthony Davis finished Wednesday’s loss to the Warriors with 23 points, nine rebounds and three assists across 32 minutes before sustaining a head injury.
Davis took an elbow to the head from Kevon Looney in the fourth quarter and had to leave the game early. According to Chris Haynes, AD was escorted out of Chase Center in a wheelchair, which puts his availability for Friday’s Game 6 in doubt. Davis has been a menace in this series on both ends of the court, and his absence would create a massive void for Los Angeles that would likely be filled by some combination of Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt and Wenyen Gabriel. We’ll keep a close eye on Davis’s status leading up to Friday.

  • Center #4
Mo Bamba is probable for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers with a sprained left ankle.
Bamba appears to be on track to appear in a game for the first time since March 5, when he suffered a high ankle sprain in a game against the Warriors. He’ll give the Lakers a welcome infusion of depth in the frontcourt, with Wenyen Gabriel being the player most likely to lose out on playing time.

  • LAL Small Forward #28
Rui Hachimura accounted for five points (2-of-5 FGs), one block, and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes in Wednesday’s 114-110 loss to the Rockets.
With Anthony Davis (foot) getting the night off, Hachimura was back in the starting lineup for the first time since the Lakers’ penultimate game before the All-Star break. And the lineup change didn’t go well, as Hachimura struggled in the first half. Wenyen Gabriel (6/15/1/2/1 in 33 minutes) started the third quarter and proved to be a much better streaming option, while Jarred Vanderbilt (13/11/5/2 in 35 minutes) recorded his first double-double in five games. Hachimura’s still rostered in 18% of Yahoo leagues, which is too high, given the inconsistent production.

  • LAL Small Forward #28
The Lakers will start D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Troy Brown Jr., Jarred Vanderbilt and Rui Hachimura against Houston on Wednesday.
Hachimura slides into the starting unit with Anthony Davis sidelined. Hachimura and Vanderbilt will have to play big minutes as starters, though it will open up minutes for Wenyen Gabriel off the bench.

  • Center #4
Mo Bamba has been diagnosed with a left high-ankle sprain and will miss at least four weeks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
If Bamba was on your fantasy roster, you can safely drop him to the waiver wire. Wenyen Gabriel and Rui Hachimura should enjoy expanded minutes off the bench with Bamba effectively done for the season.

  • Center #4
Mo Bamba (sprained left ankle) will not play in Tuesday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Bamba injured his ankle during Sunday’s win over the Warriors. His absence frees up additional minutes for Wenyen Gabriel off the bench, but it will also mean even more playing time for starter Jarred Vanderbilt. Gabriel isn’t worth streaming in this spot due to how well Vanderbilt has played.

  • Center #4
Mo Bamba (sprained left ankle) will not return to Sunday’s game against the Warriors.
Bamba played two minutes before spraining his ankle, with team trainers accompanying him to the locker room shortly thereafter. His absence frees up additional minutes off the bench for fellow reserve Wenyen Gabriel, and starter Jarred Vanderbilt should also play more.

  • DAL Power Forward #3
Anthony Davis (right foot stress injury) is probable for Monday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Davis was listed as probable ahead of Saturday’s win over the Warriors, only to log 36 minutes. Fantasy managers should anticipate a similar workload, especially if LeBron James (ankle; questionable) misses a third consecutive game. Should Davis not play, Wenyen Gabriel and Jarred Vanderbilt would be asked to pick up the slack.
