Peyton Watson (knee) is not expected to play in Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Initially questionable for Wednesday’s game, Watson is not expected to be available. With Denver’s starting five already ruled out, the Nuggets will be short on available options. Vlatko Cancar and PJ Hall should enter the rotation after picking up DNP-CDs in Tuesday’s double-overtime loss to the Timberwolves.

Christian Braun (foot) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Warriors.
Initially probable to play on Monday, Braun’s status has been downgraded to questionable. With Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray doubtful, the Nuggets could be without three starters. Jalen Pickett and Vlatko Cancar are two players who may log additional minutes if all three starters are unavailable.
  • DEN Power Forward #31
Vlatko Cancar (knee) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Kings.
Cancar is available to make his first appearance since November 19. He isn’t guaranteed to be in the rotation, but a few minutes may be available if Aaron Gordon (ankle) cannot play. Gordon is a game-time decision. There’s no need to consider streaming Cancar due to the time missed.
  • DEN Power Forward #31
Vlatko Cancar (knee) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Kings.
Cancar has been out since early December after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee. He’s unlikely to impact fantasy basketball if cleared to play, but Vlatko’s return would give the Nuggets’ frontcourt depth a welcome boost. Aaron Gordon (ankle) and Zeke Nnaji (ankle) are also questionable; Cancar may not even be in the rotation if they’re available.
  • DEN Power Forward #31
Vlatko Cancar (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice.
Cancar underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee in early December, with it being announced at the time that he would be re-evaluated in eight weeks. His participation in Wednesday’s practice is positive, even though he was not a full participant. Cancar’s availability does not significantly impact the Nuggets’ rotation.
  • DEN Power Forward #31
Vlatko Cancar underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and will be re-evaluated in eight weeks.
Cancar injured his knee during a November 19 game against the Grizzlies and has not played since. Part of the concern was that this was the same knee he injured (torn ACL) in the summer of 2023 that cost Cancar the entire 2023-24 campaign. His absence will not impact fantasy basketball.
  • DEN Power Forward #31
Vlatko Cancar (left knee sprain) will not play in Sunday’s game against the Clippers.
Injured during a November 19 game against the Grizzlies, Cancar will miss a fifth consecutive game. His continued absence will not impact fantasy basketball.

Vlatko Cancar (left knee sprain) will not return to Tuesday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Cancar injured his knee during the first half on a dunk, but it wasn’t clear if it occurred on the jump or the landing. While the Nuggets have announced that he’s dealing with a sprain, the left knee is the same one Cancar injured before the start of last season. The torn ACL would sideline him for the entire 2023-24 campaign. Hopefully, this injury isn’t as severe.
  • DEN Power Forward #31
Vlatko Cancar (right ankle sprain) is available for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Even with Nikola Jokic (personal reasons) sidelined, Cancar is unlikely to get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball. Leave him on the waiver wire.
  • DEN Power Forward #31
Vlatko Cancar (right ankle sprain) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Cancar played eight minutes in Friday’s loss to the Pelicans, and that was with Nikola Jokic (personal) away from the team. Even if he’s cleared to play in Memphis, there’s no need to consider streaming Cancar.
