  • MIL Point Guard #23
TyTy Washington Jr. (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Rockets.
Washington won’t be available for Sunday’s game, but his status will not impact fantasy basketball or the Bucks’ rotation.

The Bucks have signed TyTy Washington to a two-way contract, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
After spending his rookie season with the Rockets, Washington was dealt to Atlanta and then to OKC this summer before he was cut. Now, he’ll have a chance to play for Milwaukee, though he’ll likely spend more time with the Wisconsin Herd. Washington has some upside, but it’s unlikely that he provides any value this season.

TyTy Washington Jr. finished Friday’s 105-89 loss to the Wizards with four points (2-of-5 FGs) and two assists in 19 minutes.
A late addition to Oklahoma City’s summer league roster, Washington made his debut for the team Friday afternoon. He came off the bench in this one, with the production being understandably limited. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, and first-round pick Cason Wallace (10/1/2/2 with two 3-pointers in 26 minutes) all on the roster, it’s going to be difficult for Washington to get the minutes needed to be relevant in fantasy leagues. Also, Jared Butler (22/3/4 with four 3-pointers) has been playing well in Las Vegas as he looks to earn himself a training camp invite.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hawks have traded TyTy Washington, Usman Garuba, Rudy Gay, and a future second-round pick to the Thunder for Patty Mills.
The 29th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Washington only appeared in 31 games for the Rockets last season. And with the team signing Fred VanVleet in free agency, he wasn’t going to have much of a chance in Houston, so he was dealt to the Hawks. With there being even more of a logjam at the point in Atlanta, it made little sense for the Hawks to hold onto him. We’ll see if Washington can eventually land with a team where he’ll have the opportunity to crack the rotation because that’s unlikely to happen in Oklahoma City.
  • HOU Point Guard #0
The Rockets are nearing a deal to send TyTy Washington and Usman Garuba to Atlanta along with draft capital, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Both Washington and Garuba are former first round picks, but the Rockets need to clear some cap space to avoid the luxury tax. They signed Fred VanVleet to a three-year, $130 million deal, and with the new CBA, they need to move money and assets around. Neither player will have much of an impact in fantasy basketball.
  • HOU Shooting Guard #4
Jalen Green (left thigh contusion) is being listed as questionable for Monday’s game against the Warriors.
Green hasn’t missed a game in almost a month and he’s fresh off a 40-point explosion in the team’s loss to the Pelicans on Sunday. With a Warriors team that has been dreadfully bad on the road this season coming to town, it’s a more than likely chance Green suits up. If he doesn’t though, Josh Christopher or TyTy Washington could see some extra run.

  • HOU Small Forward #8
Jae’Sean Tate (right ankle injury management) is expected to be doubtful for Monday’s game against the Warriors.
This one was to be expected as Tate hasn’t played a back-to-back since returning from injury. He either plays the first game or the second game and with him playing 22 minutes Sunday against the Pelicans, his absence for Monday was basically a certainty. Recently recalled TyTy Washington could possibly see some game action with Tate on the sidelines.

  • LAC Point Guard #3
Kevin Porter Jr. will miss Thursday’s game against Indiana due to a bruised thigh.
After an extended absence, KPJ played the Rockets’ last four games, but he’ll be unavailable against the Pacers, which should open up some additional minutes for Josh Christopher, Daishen Nix and TyTy Washington.

  • LAC Point Guard #3
Kevin Porter Jr. (bruised thigh) missed practice on Wednesday and is unlikely to play on Thursday against the Pacers.
Houston just sent TyTy Washington down to the G-League, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him called back up before Thursday. Washington and Daishen Nix would likely see minutes with KPJ sidelined, but neither player would be worth streaming unless they get the starting nod. Jae’Sean Tate has been playing backup point guard, so we’ll see if Stephen Silas slides him into the starting unit in place of KPJ.

  • MIL Point Guard #23
TyTy Washington (illness) will play against the Spurs on Saturday.
Washington will be available, but with Kevin Porter Jr. back, he belongs on the waiver wire.
